I’m an American (Southern) and I’ve been applying my perfume the way you demonstrated my entire life. No one taught me, I think it was instinctual. I apply a bit lighter though, no legs or chest. I wear frankincense and myrrh almost daily, I love Chanel Chance and Armani perfumes. They smell great on me!
Wearing my perfume is part of presenting for the day. I would no more skip perfume than I would skip brushing my teeth. And thank you for showing people to spray on SKIN specifically pulse/warm points. Don’t waste on spraying on clothing.
I love wearing perfume too. It makes me happy so the one i love the most is either a rose smelling one called true love or the other is ivanas, the one thst smells like oranges. Thats trumps

How to apply perfume is the one beauty tip I remember by mother teaching me. My father even joined in. “Perfume is to be enjoyed close up, not to trail after you or surround you in a fog like Pigpen from Charlie Brown.” 😂 For me, if I am using a spray, I spray the wrist and use the wrist to apply to these other areas. Sometimes the volume that comes out with a squirt of the spray is more than I would want on my neck. My 2 favorites are Coco and Chanel #5.
Love perfumes but I'm not having too many of them - mostly miniatures. I'm using new scent when going to nice holiday and use it only there, so later after smelling it, I come back to those lovely places in my mind. It's the best way of "collecting" memories.
"Fico di Amalfi" (miniature) bringing me to lovely holiday in Cannes 2 years back 😁 Love it!

Hello Frederique, I just discovered your videos today. I love French style. When I was much much younger, age 26 I modeled in 3 Haute Couture shows in Paris and some other modeling jobs in Paris. The French definitely effected my sense of style. I love French style best of all and am so glad I found your RUclips channel! I love classique white shirts, black blazers, perfect pair of jeans, red leather structured bag, elegant face/beauty. I've gained so much weight since my modeling days, I have been taking care of my parents and it has caused me to gain weight. I have started eating healthier, so I hope I can make a change in that area of my life. Subscribing to your channel so I can remind myself to take care of myself not always everyone else all the time.
My favorite perfume is Dior Poison, ever since my mother started wearing it in the 90’s I can’t get enough of it. Such a beautiful scent.

I'm 27, and I love Sensual Amber, by Bath and Body Works. The perfume would be a night perfume, but I wear it everyday because it makes me feel elegant. I'll wear this will gold jewelry and something nice for the day.
I have warn Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir for 7 years, and still love it.

My favorite perfume and only one which I’m using everyday single day is Chanel N°5 l'eau - which is my signature sent and everyone who know me always recognizing my perfume 😉

Looove this video as I’m a perfume nut too 😆 I also wear perfume everyday and feel naked without it! Thank you for all the helpful tips. I will certainly try to spray on crook of my arms too! My favourite scent is Dior Eau Svelte but that was discontinued some years ago ☹️ I wear Coco Mademoiselle and No.5 but recently fell in love with Chanel Venise. I also love Chloé Karl Lagerfeld and Guerlain Samsara (if I’m in the mood for something deep and sexy!). I also have 2 large bottles of perfume which I bought from Fragonard in Eze many years ago - Baiser D’Aurore and Rendez Vous which I will treasure forever.

When I worked as a beauty consultand and make up artist, We advised out clients that just like on outfit is not appropriate for all occasions, the same applies to fragrances.
Playing tennis, or a formal dinner are very different moods and events, and so fragrnaces

I rarely wear perfume anymore but my favorite use to be COCO. I worked retail at the time it was launched in the 80’s and fell in love! I need to find a very light clean subtle scent for everyday wear. Many people in the states are sensitive/allergic to smell and many workplaces even ban wearing perfumes. Thanks you, your videos are re-awakening my femininity!
I am Italian-American, 62, and I adore Shalimar. I believe I am careful with it because it can be overwelming, but I love it! I also like Coco. In the 80's I loved Chanel 22, but the scent was changed so much, I don't care for it anymore.

I'm Portuguese and I use perfume everyday, since I'm a teenager. When I was younger I loved strong perfumes, now with almost 50 I rather prefer clean soft perfumes. At the moment I'm using Eau de Givenchy Roseé (love it), Florabotanica Balenciaga and Gucci Bamboo. 😘

Ralph Lauren midnight romance is my all time fave. I tried many others but keep coming back to this one.
My favorite one is Chance, by Channel. By the way, I used ship hundreds of kilos of essential oil (petit grain, guaic good, lemongrass, etc.) from Paraguay to France for essential oil wholesalers. That’s how I got to know a bit about essential oils and their use in beauty care, perfumery and so on.
Most of the Penhaligons range of perfumes is beautiful. The bottles are lovely to look at and to hold. The perfume isn't cheap but then not much of quality is. ⚘
Love them too! I just wish they would bring back Racquets Formula! My absolut fave from this house.
Mimosa and Cardamon - Jo Malone Anything Chanel! My father bought me a beautiful bottle (with the dove) of L’air du temps when I was about 10 years old. I still love it. x
I stumbled upon your channel and I’m really enjoying it. I live in the states so perfume tastes seem to vary wildly here. My all time favorite perfume is Opium. My mom started wearing it in the 70’s and then when I was older I started wearing it. I love it for winter time.
Regarding 'getting to know your audience.' I just subscribed today. I am a 50 year old woman in the US. I have many favorite parfums but there are two at the top of my list: Coromandel (Chanel/Exclusifs) and Rose Nacre (Guerlain /my understanding is it was recently discontinued). Hi Federique. I just ran into your videos and I LOVE them! I am American , 71 years old and I have always loved fashion and especially perfume. I have been wearing Chanel#5 for 51 years. My husband gave me a bottle our first Christmas together and I loved it. I have been wearing it ever since. By the way he spent 5 years in Paris before we met. He was stationed Germany in the Air Force but spent a lot of time in Paris.
I just LOVE your perfume tips! I am a big perfume fanatic even before I moved to France and the current one that I wear is Lowe for women. I love the musky woody smells! J’adore cette vidéo!
I enjoy your channel and style! I live in the USA on the East Coast, but traveled and lived abroad. My day perfume is Gucci bamboo or Burberry Brit and night perfume is Ralph Lauren Romance because my first bottle gifted to me by my husband 21 years ago. I wear it on date nights. All these things you mention in all your videos are a good reminder for me to pass down to my 12-year-old daughter. It is not always easy to convey all the things you've learned over a lifetime. Love your channel - Chris Tsefalas, The Perfume House in Portland, Oregon taught me about wearing a "clean" scent after a shower and then as the day/night dictates, layering your fragrance. My go to clean scent he helped me choose was Eau de Caron. For something light during the day, I love D'Orsay's Tilleul that was re-indroduced to the market after decades of non production. My go to evening fragrance (and sometimes day!) is Yves Saint Laurent's Paris. There are a few other fragrances in my wardrobe but these tend to be my go-to scents.
Great content. I collect perfume but rarely use it. My favorite is any perfume that has fresh smell and my unique favorite perfume is Chanel Christa which I believe it is not a lot of people’s favorite. Awesome video and thank you for sharing darling ❤️

Every few years my body chemistry changes and then the perfume changes as well. I have worn Paris (YSL), Ysatis (Givenchy), Chanel No5 L'eau, and right now I wear Cabotine (Grès). I smelled this on a woman in the 1970's and 80's but then this perfume disappeared for a while. It came back and now I can buy it in the pharmacie! It is my favourite daytime perfume. I get sooooo many compliments when I wear it! In the evening I wear Acqua di Parma Magnolia Noble.

My Mom bought me some Cabotine Gres in the 80's and i t was an instant connect for me. I re-bought it. Thanks for reminding me. I keep changing, trying new things and using whatever I have. But that never diminished in my view. Peace!

Thank you for your vids. I've just discovered you and I'm now OBSESSED. My favourite perfume - I have 12 that I choose from, all French and Italian. My current fave is Frederic Malle's Portrait of a Lady. LOVE IT!! I have several Chanel that are only circulated in France (I am a Canadian who goes to Paris annually because it is part of my soul), and also Etro's Etra and their Patchouli.
I love Mademoiselle by Chanel and Wild Bluebonnets by Jo Malone. When I was a teenager/ young woman in the 1970’s, I wore Jean Nate and I would get stopped all the time by people wanting to know what I was wearing!
Hi Freddy! Like you I love Chanel parfum the most! I used to be makeup artist for Chanel. Lately my 3 favorites I alternate and layer the body lotion and parfum - Deaville/Biarritz/Venise and Paris! A little pricier than the popular Chanel but so much more unique. Love you and your videos!
I just found your channel. It is nice to have someone a little closer to my age doing these.. although you're still younger than my son if you are 47. I find many of these channels are geared a little more to the younger ones 20's or 30's. I am 66 and have always, since my 20's, appreciated the classic elegance of French women. I do like a few different perfumes, but my #1 favourite has always been Chanel No 5.

Learnt it since childhood exactly the way to wear and how to chose own perfume. Fall in love with most Chanel perfumes, N5 as mentioned, more for my mum, but Noir found when I was 24 and fall in love with it. New discovery on N5 recently was Elixir Sensuel... Dream...want to wear it over and over again... Bought few bottles as found out was a limited edition that I will have them for sometime ...

My favorite perfume is Must de Cartier. Love it since I was 10! It's funny but is not until recently that I realized how French I've been from a very young age. From my skin care routine, basic items of clothing to the way I apply perfume! I enjoy your videos and like how your personality comes true.

I've always loved perfumes. As a kid I used to collect the miniatures too.. My favorites change according to season and my. mood. In the summertime I love to wear Peau de Peche by Diptyque, En Passant by Frederic Malle and Eau d'hadrian by Annick Goutal. Coromandel and N:o 19 by Chanel are my favourite designer summer scents. all French by the way😉

Coco was my wedding fragrance, Paris is my summer fragrance... I named my daughter after Chanel Christalle ... and I also wear Penhaligons . I was blessed to have worked for Chanel for 18 years so my collection is very large . I wear fragrance everyday even to bed . And I wear Chanel N5 talc in side my sheets when I make the bed with fresh sheets . Beautiful video xx

I love perfume! My favorites are floral orientals. I wear a light one in summer and heavier one in winter (I live in Aus). Currently, my favorites are Guerlain:Jardins de Bagatelle, Nahema, L’Heurre Bleu: coco Chanel: YSL Opium. In the past I’ve also worn Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior J’Adore and a few other Chanel fragrances.

Greetings from this Puerto Rican who loves perfumes! And also love your videos! My two favorite that I can not live without are: Harem Rose from Forte & Manle and Coco Mademoiselle from Chanel! My passion for perfumes started from my mom, my mom has always had a nice collection!
My favorite perfume in winter time would have to be either “Ambre précieux” by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier or “Grand Soir” by Francis Kurkdjian. In summer time I often wear “La Panthère” by Cartier or “Madison” by Roja Dove :) PS: I’m a real frag head. What you said about french woman discovering perfume at a very young age is true. My first perfume that was gifted to me for my 16th birthday was “24 rue Faubourg” by Hermes. And the rest is history, absolutely fragrance obsessed ever since 😊
My favorite perfume & signature scent is Chloe. It reminds me of a time that was happy & makes me feel cozy & content! I also have a few that I wear occasionally. Beach walk by Renergie is great in the summer!

Hi Frederique, I love your videos, you remind me so much of my Mum at your age, in looks and attitude.Although she wasnt French she was greatly influenced by french chic and lifestyle and taught me understated, pared back subtlety, french skincare, makeup and quality tailored clothes worn casually and the importance of cooking and home. My favourite daytime perfume is a new one, very inexpensive...it is just clean and fresh and SO Spanish...Gotas Frescas Agua de Colonia Concentrada. Evening , or important daytime is Issey Miyake Eau de Parfum, and date or impression to leave behind me is Roma by Memento Italian Olfactiv Landscapes...it is dense and mysterious and draws you in, Maria
I just found your channel and absolutely love it. I am from the US and wear perfume every day. Right now, I love Coco Mademoiselle and Chanel #5, which I hated when I was younger.
I turned 40 this year and I have not worn perfume really my whole life, but I love your videos and am excited to explore and find a few scents that will work for me. My husband is pretty sensitive to smells, so that is why for the most part I haven't worn any.

Love your videos!! My favorite is Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. And for daytime I mix together essential oils in a water and witch hazel mix. I use whatever scent goes best with the season at the time. 💫
My favourite perfume for day, from the Spring onwards is Chanel No.19. Another favourite one is Chanel Mademoiselle, or Coco, for going out, or in the winter months. Obviously there are many other beautiful scents I buy also for a change. But Chanel perfumes are my favourite, because they are more traditional and have all the original base tones perfumes should have. I stay clear of any synthetic scents, especially new designer perfumes, much too in your face. BTW I think older ladies do over wear perfume, because your sense of smell diminishes as you age. My first bottle of perfume was Chanel 5 given to me by my father when I became a teenager. I loved it so much, I saved it for years as I knew it was expensive. It sat on my dresser where the Aussie sun got to it and one day the fragrance turned into the smell of urine. I was so upset but I could never wear Chanel 5 again because it reminded me of it. Now my all time favourite is Estee Lauder's Private Collection. I really love it. I feel like I'm on a trip when I wear it. However, you have inspired me to go and try the Coco Noir, and see if I like it. I am a new subscriber and feel so inspired by your joie de vivre! Thank you.

Hello, I am in South Africa and my favourite is Bulgaria black in winter as well as Chanel Noir and summer I love Versace pink. Apparantly in Paris I was told that my skin is acidic and that is why I have a hard time finding perfume that smells good on me. Love how natural your videos are and thank you for all the great tips. Just discovered you and it has added a little sparkle during this covid isolation -merci beaucoup. This makes me want to go straight to the perfume counter. Jaipur by Boucheron has been one of my favorites but they have discontinued. It even kept the mosquitoes away and in Mississippi that is paramount. I am on the hunt for a new fragrance.
I myself wear perfume every day not too strong ones but the light ones and recently I came to know that my great grandmother was French and it made me know my love for so many french things.

Mitsouko and Vol de Nuit, both by Guerlain. My mother wore Shalimar more than any other perfume and I wore it and Chanel 19 in my younger years. As I got older
I found Mitsouko and Vol de Nuit suited me better. I keep a bottle of Annick Goutal’s Eau d’ Hadrian in my powder room for guests to use as I find it a unisex fragrance and especially nice for those who don’t care for floral scents.

I use Coco Mademoiselle every day. I have a travel atomizer that I fill and keep in my makeup bag, It fills by pumping on the bottom from the perfume bottle.
I used that as well especially when i don't want people to see and know my signature perfume hihihihi
Anais Anais by Cacharel. I came upon it when I was just turning 20 years old. I also like Happy by Cinique, vanilla musks and others. I usually take a while to find a scent that I both like and won't cause me a headache. You have to love it and be able to live with it. And my husband has to like it also. We go shopping together and try the scents and he gives his opinion and vise versa as I must like how he smell too. Great video by the way, thanks for sharing your French style.
I’ve loved L’air du temp my whole life because my mother used to wear it, and now I also love Code. I also try new ones often and love many by Versace.
My mother also wore that fragrance 💜
Some of my favorites are Mohur Extrait by Neela Vermeire, Chanel No.19, Hermès Eau des Merveilles, L’Eau d’Hadrien by Annick Goutal, and Keiko Mecheri Peau de Peche.
It might be generic, but I like to mix perfumes. Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir with a floral scent is always great. I love to mix spicy and sweet and make my "own" scents.
🎤 Bonjour Frédérique. Having being exposed to perfume at a very young age, I have always loved perfume. I had my own little collection, so Kool. Now living in California USA, I still enjoy wearing them and I try to limit it to just a few; for example Coco Chanel #5 and Noir Chanel. However, about 10 years ago I was introduced to "Cabotine de Gres" and I fell in love with it. Its price is very reasonable and it smells French. I wear it when I hang out, hiking, doing sports, gym and the likes. Thank you for the simple but much needed reminders. and like Gabrielle Bonheur (Coco) said "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous".
