1. To create new things and help others. 2. For loved ones and beloved things. -note your wants and needs change throughout life, example: you were interested in toys as a child, the opposite sex as a teenager, money as a young adult, it flows as should you
Makes sense. Numerous ways for individuals to go about discovering their own answers though. Sometimes just being alive and going what we go through is enough for us to learn and understand our own answers to these questions. I sort like the way it's simplified to these essential points (questions) in some way.
Interesting video but there's a completely unchecked assumption in this guest's thinking, his approach is completely based off the abrahamic / west world of thinking, there is no mention of taoist or buddhist thinking which answers the meaning of life question from a completely different perspective - For info search the many great Alan Watts lectures on YT
Nah her ideology is on point whether your understanding comes from eastern or western whichever it's the answer to the meaning of life is a subjective experience but he says something insightful there that's to served other which obviously bias statement tho thinking about for eastern and western textbook they share a same thing for sure... that's served others like wu wei, buddha or christ they taught people how to live life. ultimately i don't think its better to apply these ideology from textbook coz they're kind of mandating what you should do, and it feels like an inauthentic way to live life, but that doesn't mean they're wrong either.
Exactly, the "profound" questions, can only be explained by ego and identity, i. e I am a teacher, I am a soldier, etc... Everything is transient and even "deep" things like Heritage or Culture will be nothing but dust in the grand scale of the universe. Life simply is, and can only be experienced day to day, putting any importance on it, is an attempt from the ego.
Guys, don’t you find it strange that many of the “revolutionary” and non-mainstream fitness and health influencers seem to look worse in terms of health and appearance compared to influencers who focus on the basics, like trying to gain lean mass, controlling calories, walking, instead of following all these elaborate protocols? I saw a video of Jeff Cavaliere-he’s older than Andrew Huberman, Paul Saladino, and only slightly younger than Peter Attia-and the guy looks much healthier, even though he doesn’t do much cardio, uses the microwave, eats sugar, and so on, but focuses on calorie restriction. My main point is that I feel much better and healthier with the traditional approach instead of pouring all my energy into miracle supplements, ice baths, endless cardio, saunas, this food, that food, no food at all...
"I want to pour gasoline on the fire" - not a bad want when the fire fuels the well-being, life meaning and growth of another who also shares their accelerants freely.
Why I'm alive: My father told me that the reason why I was born was because he bought a car with five seats and he paid for the five seats he's going to use them all (I have two siblings). For what would I be willing to die for today: Well since I tend to have quite strong suicidal waves, very often I would be willing to die for nothing. xD
So much talk of philosophy and meaning and no single mention of Eastern philosophies? Buddhist non-self? Advaita’s bold claims about the unity of Atman and Brahman? Taoism? West needs to seriously upgrade their philosophical armor to battle this crisis of meaning.
2.) I am willing to die for duty just to go die because I have to and not care but I've never been put in that situation just a sticky note writing I stayed out of situations that threatened my life as you can see I'm alcohol free in my dining room making animal sounds I don't put myself in situations that can get me killed
You know what you're right I wish everybody would get up off their ass and make a podcast and just start really talking about what the f*** they earned and really talking about it every day about what the f*** you earned because I'm really interested and I'm not being sarcastic I want to see you talk about what you really earned so that I can learn teach me what you've earned really no sarcasm that's going to be the best content on the internet because it's real no tone of old haterism
I want to listen to the real killers not this old hater I want to listen to that guy he's talking about the guy that has earned it from his mouth I want to listen to him really I do because those are the guys that I want Learn from
What is the meaning of life, for future people or for present ones? There is a contradiction here. For God or for people. If for real people, then it is also for yourself, if for the future, then without yourself.
I thing before the premise he did say meaning is subjective but your point about if its for future or present ones is irrelevant because the answer about the question applied regardless of conditions.

Meaning is not a box somewhere there you have to find. It’s a personal response to whatever you are putting your time into.

I want everybody to start talking about serious discernment on all podcast until it becomes standard talk like Pokemon cards

@@johnericflores1086 subjective means simplified or not developed.
@@johnericflores1086 There may be differences, but the general points need to be stated.
If you would ‘die for your faith’ you are too gullible to be here anyway. And your God is chuckling away to himself, in your own head.
