    Here are the bullet points:
    - Had first 2 appointments to see if I qualify for an early phase trial of a new immunotherapy drug
    - I qualified for THREE trials!
    - And I got in to the best one :)
    - Energy levels are a little low, but otherwise feeling pretty good
Thank you for all of your prayers and suggestions and hugs. I feel all of them! I wish I could reply to each of you individually, but know that I read all of your comments. Much love from me to you!! :)

I'm in total agreement with the comment about getting right with God. None of us knows when we will die, but God knows. He's not some father figure in the sky. He's the eternal creator of all things. Where we go after we die is a choice each of us makes while we're still alive. Scripture says, "It is appointed to man once to die and then the judgment." Repentance means to turn away from sin. Lying, stealing, lust, fornication, adultery, etc. We're all sinners. But if we sincerely repent and trust in Jesus Christ for our eternal salvation, we will be assured of our final destination, heaven with the Lord. If we reject God's free offer of salvation through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross, our eternity is in hell. Be careful, be wise, don't waste time because it's very short. And once you breathe your last, there's no going back.

This Earthly journey is but brief for all of us, just for some more brief than for others. None of us should fear death. Is it any different than going to bed at night and then waking up in the morning? Close your eyes one minute and open them the next to a different reality. We so trust waking up. We trust waking up to the same reality? But everything changes. Could dying be a different way to live? Dying is a different way to live. Nothing’s ever really dead if you look at it right. Hello Dr. I used to live in Austin back in 2015-2018, spent 15+ years in Houston area also. ATX such a great town. I lived off Riverside and Congress. Miss my P Terry’s, Blacks BBQ, the Lake and so much more. What does this reminiscing have to do with your current situation? Nothing other than a stranger sharing good ole memories of somewhere in Texas with a doctor who I consider my friend and family. Wishing you continued courage that YOU have shown ALL of US!

I just completed my third round of folfoxiri. I fasted for 48hrs before each round and have had zero side effects thus far. I researched fasting before chemo and apparently when you fast before chemo it protects your healthy cells and makes the cancer cells sensitive to the chemo. After two rounds they did a cea blood test that measures tumor activity in your body. When i was diagnosed my cea was 35 and after two rounds it dropped to 8!!!!! Im getting very close to the normal cea level!! Ive stayed positive like dr dan, and the power of prayer, faith, and fasting is getting me through this!!!

I'm one who's been praying for you Dr. Dan. I've been on my own journey with ovarian cancer and unlike you I've not handled it well mentally. You're such an inspiration to me with your positive attitude and you look great! Cancer is so hard not just physically but emotionally as I've battled extreme anxiety and depression which I take many drugs for. You are the strongest person I've seen fighting this and I pray the immunotherapy destroys all the cancer cells. Blessings to you!

My best friend has ovarian cancer.... I had anal cancer myself. I understand the anxiety and depression. Have you practiced mindfulness strategies at all? Also, my friend has gotten very good results with immunotherapy after a hipec surgery which almost killed her. I just had my annual CT scan yesterday and await results. So far, 3 years no cancer. I wish you the best! Stay busy, exercise if and when you can and engage with friends and family as much as possible. Kind thoughts to you. ❤

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I completely fell apart. I got hooked on Ativan (here, take one of these before chemo!) and I started drinking, which I never had done before. I had a sh*tty attitude. My kids were 6 and 4. That was 31 years ago - despite basically trying to kill myself before the cancer could, I survived. Every scan terrified me. I know how you feel and you have every reason to - cancer sucks. But pls just hang in there and keep me posted. I care. Much love from NYC

Breast cancer fighter here. I can tell you the anxiety that comes with a cancer diagnosis is extreme. I must practice mindfulness 10 times a day just to try and remain in the moment and not spiral and even that barely works some days. Dr. Dan is an inspiration. Thinking positively for you and Dr. Dan.

My high school sweetheart was diagnosed with lung cancer metastatic to his brain, spine, lymph system, liver and spleen. His doctor told him that he had 2 months to live. He was given chemo at Mt. Sinai in NYC followed by immunotherapy with Ketruda. He has completed immunotherapy after 2 years on Ketruda and there is now no sign of cancer. Immunotherapy is even making the oncologists re-think the traditional outlook on cancer. My friend is feeling great and at 82 years old, he's still enjoying riding his Harley, fishing and all of his favorite activities. He feels better than I do with my 2 autoimmune diseases. I hope you have excellent results!

I pray for all the people that’s coming up here. Please tell me what type of cancer you have. Where is it? What kind of therapy you are on are you in pain? What are you doing for the pain? How long did you know you have it and how you’re doing? The reason why I ask this is there are many people that will come behind us and they need to know what everybody else was going to go please and thank you. I love you all. Hi Dan, your story resonates with me too. I was diagnosed in 2021 with bladder cancer and it profoundly changed the way I look at things. I too used to feel incomplete. However, now I appreciate the small things and I see the beauty in them, like the birds and animals just going about their lives. As you rightly pointed out, cancer strips away the superficial. I have 6 graduate and post-graduate qualifications and recently I looked at them and wondered why I thought they were so important. They aren't. I gathered them all up and threw them in a box. That isn't me anymore. There are so many other dimensions to my life that have changed. I'm simpler and softer, and I define success very differently. I feel emotion a lot easier which was never easy for me. As you pointed out, I now seek authenticity. I am currently NED and live from scan to scan. I wish you all the best.
