@@elshowdelpape4445 I'm glad you raised that.
I don't think Brian has a bigger fan than me BUT there is a commercial reality to all this.
Brian deserves every single cent he charges for his craft, and more, but I often wonder whether the footwear he works on are worth it.
I suspect that all too often clients get emotionally attached to these items and rational reasoning goes out the door.
Having said all that, I'm glad there are a lot of "irrational" shoe owners out there and that Brian benefits from them/us.

@@-MacCat- What's irrational to you may not be irrational to others. I'm never discarding items that have sentimental value to me, especially the shoes that my brother gave to me while he was still alive. I'll pay way over $300 to have them restored so I can wear them again. Am I irrational to want to not forget memories of him and hold these items dear? And what if I wanted to customize a pair of sad, low-quality cemented boots into a pair of hand welted, made-to-last boots? If Brian's clients didn't think his services are worth it, they wouldn't have sent their boots to him, but they did. I did. We're happy and that's all that matters. :) Thank you, Brian. See ya soon.

Just "found" you today. Your work is meticulous and innovative. I can't in good faith comment though without telling you that leather can be cleaned with water, yes even suede can be washed. I despaired for many years over this question and found a great suede product: Lincoln EZ cleaner. (From a question to Steve Bedo). Saddle soap is OK for leather but not for suede. Black suede can also be re-dyed.

I have a pair of FBT's that are in need of a re-sole. Are you still taking orders for repair? I love your craftmanship.
