I'm convinced that someone with the power of making decisions for gameplay balance hates Kitana.

@@adrianaviles8860 Because Cetrion is total dogshit up close and struggles to get even 22% with her strings. Kitana was out here getting 30% for every combo while being safe on most of her strings even without the Edenian Razors. Not to mention her bullshit zoning capabilities.
The more I look at these variations, the more Upgraded Jaqui doesn't scare me

When you’re so early all you see are people bragging about being first in the comments, so you keep refreshing the page trying to look for interesting comments but still, just first comments. You soon fall into a deep abyss, forgetting all about the video playing and your mind is on a repeated loop, trying to keep refresh the page until you find an interesting comment that isn’t first. You soon lose track of time (which really is 20 seconds) and the video keeps playing. You lose all hope but keep refreshing, until finally, you find the comment (not mine lol). You admire it for 5 seconds, until your mind keeps refreshing the page for another five minutes, until you finally find more comments. You feel empty but proud inside, as your mission is accomplished, you found interesting comments. You finally watch the video in peace, scrolling through the comments, until there is no more. Your mind enters the loop again, and the cycle continues.

@@Axxxel_in_Harlem whiffing is when you do a move and you mess up the timing or spacing, so it gives the opponent an opportunity to punish(basically you've given up your turn). Kitana is really good at whiff punishing because of her meterless kombo potential.

If you have Fannado equipped, you can combo into sai toss as well.
sure, but fan-nado only connects after b14, which makes it not worth it at all. The fan-nado option should have been "Fan lift can now be amplified and travels a certain distant"
Kitana was WAAAAAAAAAAY stronger in MKX with all her combos which could be connected with her special moves (especially with fan-nado). In this game, she is complete trash in comparison with MKX :(

Low fan, edenian twist and ground war in the same variation. Every single hit becomes a 50/50. This should be in the video. Poke into edenian twist is likely to get you a Krushing blow.

i'm sure shang or cetrion would keep spamming projectles so you could perfectly absorb them instead of using corpse drop or tendril pull

Royal protection is almost useless, as long its not buffed to obsorb two projectiles. Royal Hand (back triangle) is def an overhead and NOT a mid...... hope nrs will change this. 👍🏻 super video

I absorb projectiles all the time. Most projectile spammers are online.

Only one of Mileena's sai gets absorb by kitana's royal protection. She can only absorb 1 projectile at a time..

It happens with all moves that interact with projectiles, they only interact with one. The only exception is Jade's purple glow.

On amplified upward fantoss on a grounded opponent, Kitana had what was called a "one frame link" which as as the name suggested, an extremely small window to continue the kombo. In the grand scheme of things she could get a tiny bit more damage, the main point of it was that the opponent was still grounded so as a reward for those 1 frame links, she could get decent unbreakable damage. With the nerf she is now unable to do this and also has extra recovery after normal upward fantoss meaning Kitanas advanced corner kombos were completely killed. In summary, the one frame links being patched out was pretty unnecessary seeing as how difficult it was to hit that window in online connection, and also her best kombos are messed up
Edenian Fade is trash, and needs a buff desperately, it's cool, and I want it to be viable

With edenian twist the mixup is even stronger, b2 into edenian twist or just do the regular string, 50/50 city

Why did they nerf upward fan toss and Razors? Cmon, those were fun to do. I swear, the devs have it out for Kitana in this game.

You gotta lab the new razors more:
1. It's no longer vertical making it a very good anti air that you can convert off
2. gives Kitana a poke mindgame, much like kung lao.
3. Covers the Flawless block gap of B131 making it a true safe block string
4. Still has the hit advantage and standing 2 was buffed to be faster so now she gets + frames
5. Meterburn and nonmeterburn version is a huge mixup
6. now that's 100% safe, she has a safe meaty that still covers all wakeup options except U3.
7. Kitana hardly needed meter in the first place so spending it on razors is essentially no big deal.
8. Frame data on AMP Razors is still +
This!! The move is still pretty good but now you just have to spend meter which I think is fair.

My favorite character just got much stronger and I'm so happy! I hope Jade gets some buffs to make her better for like tournament play and not just online play.
Royal protection useless against Cetrion. 😭 You get punished for using it against her because she can just do the vines during absorb.
Kitana is my Main, but her biggest problem is the slow starter attacks to create useful combos.

Kitana has so much buffs this patch its crazy. As I continue to check out some of custom combinations, I realize that the people (including me) who dont like the changes for her wanted her to play a certain way. Theres still many creative ways to play her
Meanwhile the kombos by most other characters are around 50%

Mk11 is everything about runaway, break combos using armor, people winning because of fatal blows and crushing blows, specially poke.
I know its innovating but it kinda sucks.

There actually is an armor break for Kitana. If you land ground war after or square wave, after they break away from her fan-nado (people do it all the time) it activates a krushing blow
I loved the Kitana changes, but I'm really gonna miss upwards fan toss and the regular edenian razors :(
I play with her since the realease of MK11 and she was so weak and punishable in everything. Her buffs throughout the game made her so much stronger. However, I still think NRS NEEDS FIX HER B231. The whiff of this string make us so mad and we lost many matches because of it. It's unfair compared to other characters that had that issue solved like Kotal or Erron.

All kitana mains asked for was a way to use upwards fan toss in competitive gameplay, and this is what they give us. Nobody gives a shit about royal protection.
Well when you say "nobody gives" you are including you and most of people who play KL in a high level
Most of newbies, especially mid opponents in KL are projectile spammers, like baraka, johnny cage and even mileena (except that is really easy for mileena punish kitana, because she can amplify two sais, and Royal protection only does one)
My favorite loadout for her is Edenian Twist, Ground War, and Low Fan Toss, her mix-ups are almost unreadable and easily chip away health and if they guess the overhead when I go for the back 2,3,1 I get a full kombo
If you do ground war with overhead twist, you can use overhead twist on the ground, this gives her more overhead combos on the ground.
Being a teacher it really shows in your videos. They are educational. U should play more ranked matches too ur up there with super in my opinion. Keep up the good work 👍

Why nerf Edenian Razors? I feel like it was a really good move for the fact you were sacrificing her normal BnB. Now it’s basically worthless
Not everyone uses royal protection and it eats only one projectile.... now go to practice and have cass shoot at you. Her strings aren’t safe she has to commit to them unlike most characters combos.
Standing 2 dropped to 9 frames is the best change they’ve made since her second fan was made mid

You can also lock and load the krushing blow from blood stance then end a combo with quick execution and get two krushing blows in one combo

I remember that before the update I picked up kitana so I was practicing and the upward fantoss combo was my favorite part of kitana then the day of the update I went to lab with her then found out it did not combo any more😞
They kinda just made her like every other character. Her edenian razors was unique
You can still use razors. Original razors wasnt great for competitive play.

The whole point of the move was that the 3 razors did decent damage from B231 or B14 and it was meterless and unbreakable before it was nerfed. It also did great damage in the corner meterless. So why would you waste that meter for enhanced razors when it could’ve been used for HBS cancels on block?

Hey as a kitana mains who plays a lot of this character I used to enjoy a lot the non nerfed upward fan toss but still as kitana with upward fantoss you can get 37% mid screen with just one bar no krushing blows no nothing just one bar wich is something and in the corner u can like 40% with one bar so the move is not that bad

Im a scorpion main so my favorite custom variation it the misery blade demon dash or misery blade demon breath. The misery blade keeps you pretty safe on block and the demon breath amped is good chip damage and range

Jade's Delia's Dance needs more options. Such as the enhanced version being incomplete (as a cancel) so she can combo (should able to be enhanced twice). Then the regular version is where she does the third hit to the groin area of the opponent.
Royal Protection still IS and will forever be trash as long as they won't allow you to hold it for a second to absorb multiple projectiles. It's actually straight up dangerous against a few opponents like Sonya who gets a krushing blow from you since you can't absorb her second ring. Also stars need to align for you to be able to both absorb 3 projectiles AND then get a full combo while the buff lasts. It's just not gonna happen against an opponent that has 2 functional brain cells.
I sense a disturbance in the force that she has been nerfed due to your critique here, pal whereas Baraka's loathsome slices plus underfoot KB remains, EB's foot KB, Shang's Force Lift, Subz' s overhead KB, Noob's magnificent damage dealing throw, Terminator' s running shit still exist.
The chances of anyone actually absorbing 3 projectiles & landing a combo that isn’t air escaped is 0%

telekinesis is the moving of an object.
psychokinesis is an umbrella term used to discribe the manipulation of many things such as matter, energy, temperature, magnatism, etc. It depends who ask too and where the info comes from.
tele = far/at a distance
psycho = of/by the mind
kinesis = motion/movement
Psychokinesis is explicitly moving something using the power of your mind/will, an actual PSYCHIC power (and so is limited by the user's willpower, concentration and imagination). Telekinesis is just moving an object at range, not necessarily a psychic power.

You can get around 350 damage, again. One bar. No crushing blows. In the corner, I've managed to get 483 damage, two bars.

Up fan toss use to be 18 on hit, which actually allowed her to do some of the corner combos mid screen with no meter. Now that it's only 14 on hit. She can no longer have any fun because the move is essentially pointless. Breaks my heart.

I noticed that yet another time you try to guess the bleeding damage, tho most of the time you're wrong, like in 10:03.
You see those markers on the health bar? They're there for every 10%. Also you can just turn on the option to show the health number to be even more accurate.

I like her Advancing Fan Flutter\Retreating Fan Flutter moves combined with diagonal air fan toss. With those she's like an air queen. Whenever you jump your opponent is under pressure. IMO very strong variation.

you forgot to mention stance teleport - fan - ground war is a 171 damage 1 bar teleport. It's better than most teleport in the game, and very annoying to punish

Yo Dawg! I play High Chief Nightwolf with Spirit Tracks + Amplified version and the command grab. It gives me Kinda %33 after the third hit of the slow overhead string. I can go low,overhead or command grab. And u can still extend combos pretty reliably. U can make a video about it i guess.
