Vettel was viewed as the villain especially in his Red Bull winning days but he said his perception on life became greater after the borth of his kids. And friendship with Hamilton and other drivers. He is indeed a great man and champion.
We did see one classic case of pure backstabbing from Seb once. But everyone should be able to make mistakes. He did show that he is a really nice guy in later years.
@@cmmb8521 Yes. Where Webber let his guard down and started cruising while being promised Vettel would not attack. But I don't think people should write off a person because of one bad action. We all do something stupid sometimes. I think he's very chill 😎

Met Romain Grosjean at the LBGP a couple years ago, and he was an absolute legend. He had to run to his trailer after the race, and then came way back to find us afterwards for a chat and some pictures. Great guy.
Great video. It is great that you miss people that have made an impression on you regardless of politics and opinion. Stay true to yourself that is what I love about your channel. PS: My wife saw the episode where you mentioned you were making a video about that the women of F1's purses, similar to the one you do with the watches. She bugs me every time I get notified of a new video. "Is this the one about the purses????". You definitely have one fan awaiting that video.
IMO Seb is one of the most talented drivers to retire, but also more than that just an amazing human. Sure he had a lot of maturing and growing up to do when he first started in F1 but the amount he does for social justice, and doesn't seek or care for any recognition. It speaks volumes to how great of a man and ambassador to the sport he is. Personally I miss him the most, by a longshot.
I find it fascinating how so many people are unable to see that one can be a bad racingdriver or race director without being a bad person. Now before anyone brings up groping or politics - yes, it is possible to be bad in more than one aspect of life. And it's still possible to be a good friend or an interesting shoot.
Bingo, i mean he is a person and has a fame but he is not responsible for the decicion of another, also i find well not going to go to politics but come on, seen some coments there was sad
Nice. Another great video. I have to admit, I'm one of those people who haven't subscribed. I don't subscribe to any F1 content on any social media platform because I always watch the races and other sessions delayed and I don't want to have the results before I watch.
Great take on Mazepin. Wasn’t a fan of him myself but it’s all too common these days for people to form opinions on anything based off of what other people say before they’ve even had a chance of a personal experience
Thanks Kym, lovely video. We miss Niki Lauda too. He truly was an extraordinary guy in this sport. Of course, we also miss seeing Nigel Mansell. one of our favorites!🏁
Once again a video with a different twist and I agree with your list, although I have never met any of these folks. I was also not a big fan of Roman in his early days but I think it had more to do with some of the bonehead moves on the track. He matured quickly, as most drivers do, and I did like him in his later years. An F1 driver's career is often a flash in the pan so it was nice to see this video.
I was lucky to get a selfie with Seb in the paddock at the 22 British GP just after the track parade, I think he was running to get into red 5 to do a few laps before the start or the race, after getting the picture I turned around all excited and remember seeing Brita laughing, I'm guessing it was because of how excited I was, definitely miss them both on the weekend coverage
I think you have the right mindset by not letting fans get to you because you like a certain driver who is controversial. I know many don't like Nikita but I have no issues if you do
1) Nikita's dad isn't Nikita 2) A lot of the Mazepin haters forget that the press only include what they want to include. Personally, full credit to you for having the balls to post it and stand by what YOU think instead of following the press office bandwagon
Anyone know the clothing brand of the polo Romain is wearing at 4:45? It looks like a F1 car when viewed from the front however I can't find it anywhere online
No, I think we're ungrateful. We have arguably one of the best drivers on the grid to ever do it in Max Verstappen and he's writing history race by race. We have Lewis, we have Alonso and that really is more then we can ask for before other drivers we have on the grid right now begin writing their legacy as they get more experienced.
1:55 Kym, there's a picture of Lewis carrying the umbrella. All the people who were criticising Hamilton can put that in their pipe and smoke it 🤓 (video from a few months ago)
I think the attention span and ability to read of some people has been seriously harmed with social media to such an extent they need emotes to explain the post to them.
He was...if u stop looking at one sided media...u would see he drove like any other driver and off track he did nothing wrong (yes even incident with the girl as she was fine with it...just not fine with it being posted)
Why don't you google schumacher vs mazepin head to head. Mick dominated him, and he couldn't even cut it. Also, plenty of drivers better than him in junior formula, but daddy bought him an F1 seat. @@shayzadg
One extremely important thing people should realize is that the comment section on a social media platform does NOT represent the general opinion. Yes I am guilty. But in my whole family I am the only one that ever reads or leaves comments. And they are all a lot wiser and smarter than me. They make fun of me for it. It is a particular type of person that likes to stick his or her nose in to everything all the time. And they often don't think more than 2 seconds before spewing out their opinion. Some RUclipsrs are taking the comments way to serious and that is a shame. It's 90% pure BS.
For me there were 5 Vettels in F1, in this sequence. First, the happy-go-lucky precocious kid who broke premature records. Then the youngest driver to win a championship, 2, 3, and 4 championships, a record unlikely to ever be broken (the youngest 4 time winner, I mean), and he seemed utterly invincible (like someone we know now...), then a confused driver who was solidly beaten by a new teammate, just as the world thought he was invincible. Then (this is 4, right?) a Ferrari driver who looked as if he could surprise us all over again, but in time became rancorous and vingative, no longer fun, and his performance became less and less impressive, which raised a few ayebrows as to how great he really was. Finally a semi retired dressesd in green, who looked nothing like the champion we had seen between '10 and '13, but like a tired veteran, more concerned with funny T-shirts than driving as fast as possible.
How strange, people questioning you about your top ten drivers that you miss. If they are offended, why don't they come up with their own top ten 🤔 and respect other people's likes n dislikes? Strange world we're living in.
Nikita is a nice bloke, but the way his father got the money for Nikita's racing career was very fishy. His corrupt father is the reason why so many people love to hate him.
Respect for Nikita Mazepin segment...he is an awesome guy who had media paint him in a bad light (the incident with the girl was only seen in bad light because it was recorded and posted...the girl looked absolutely fine with him) ...im happy tho he is getting a drive in lmp...so Mazewin! 🇷🇺
I'm sorry, but the idea of you having your own option about photographs that you have taken and talk about on your own personal RUclips channel is simply ridiculous in 2023 who do you think you are.?? 🤭🤭🤭
Your argument for supporting Mazepin based on his dads actions is false. HIS actions , HIS comments, HIS support for HIS dad’s despicable behaviour is why he draws such a controversial commentary. Remember his dad is not the only Russian military contact, he, himself is a reserve officer. THAT and that alone draws the “social media hatred” you discuss. HIS behaviour, association and views.
