Wow, that is an incredibly broad and misleading diagnosis or personality disorders. Having a personality order does not mean your opinion should be dismissed.
There is such a wide spectrum of personality disorders, and within each subset, such as Borderline Personality Disorder - which Marshall has - there is a wide spectrum of symptoms ranging from things such as experiences of psychosis (such as hallucinating or hearing voices) to constant fear of abandonment to lacking a sense of identity.
Furthermore, BPD is treatable and manageable. Therapies such as DBT or MBT are proven to be effective, and there are medications which can help address certain symptoms (or combination thereof).
