I recommend archon vitality. It adds way more damage than anything else, you won't even need roar to handle level cap due to it working different on him rhan normal:
Heat sunder does something odd, casting it takes existing heat procs, and applies a new heat proc on top of them of its own damage + what they had, essentially doubling their damage. This applies to previous casts meaning exponentially scaling damage by using multiple casts in a row
If you then introduce archon vitality, you double the heat proc AFTER it scales its damage off existing procs. This means rather than doubling the damage of existing heat procs you are tripling it!

@xmorose Augur secrets and swap avenger for molt augmented to make up the strength. You really don't need his 2 to stay alive for a large part of missions. I don't even run any strength other than molt augmented as it gets you back to 100% by the time you would ever need it in any mission.

@BallerHorn corrosive projection allows you to armor strip prior to having 100% redline, so that is always good, brief respite is also great if you run aegis like myself for activating it consistently
Loved Gauss since his release, instantly got his prime access. Blasting people with the Acceltra while running around with redline is just super fun.
For those of you who are having a hard time understanding how to play him, all you have to do is use your 4, then use your 2. Keep running and use melee to keep the bar above the bright red line until it says 100%, and then enjoy godmode. ( if ever think you are in danger tap your 3)
If running or melee isn’t making the bar above the red line press 1 ( depending on your ability efficiency you can spam 1 to keep it above the red line)
Just got done testing this god tier build its 100% BEASTMODE WORTH IT ! great stuff bro earned my sub.
I just started building acceltra prime and using gauss prime, so fun. Gonna build a very similar kit to thjs, hope you make more videos like this for the more in depth frames, very helpful as otherwise i probably wouldnt have played gauss
Thank you It was really fun, I'm enjoying the nourish gauss build. I haven't tried it with Roar yet, but soon I will. I know you said to put an unranked combat discipline but in one of the picture slides of the full build for the warframe I saw it was a maxed-out combat discipline so I put it in there as well. I'm pretty sure you already know I kept killing my self everytime I hit thermal sunder at a 100 percent lol. So I'm taking it that the maxed out combat discipline was so you you could fit all the mods in the photo. I learned the hard way. But the build is fun and corpus enemies with the toxin build on the Acceltra turned them into skid marks! Thank you again. Glad you got over your cold.

A thing with Redline, using Mach rush quickly twice like tap it twice, you'll notice the massive increase in battery over time so instead of having to melee, just tap Mach rush a few times and if you're quick enough it doesn't even drain energy, way faster than meleeing and safer too
Can confirm, also having Mach Crash as an augment gives you a little more breathing room since you create a vortex that pulls enemies into it when you slam into someone or a wall

The order in which u apply thermal sunder also has a cool side effect. Heat into cold pulls enemies into you, vice versa pushes them away.
Worth noting that Quick Thinking is great for Gauss, especially when using a non-thermal sunder duration build w/ firewalker. This is because you will always have energy from kinetic plating since you're not spamming anything, leading to an invincibility loop where you constantly generate energy from taking damage, and that energy then protects you from going down. With kinetic plating, firewalker, sentinel with manifold bond and guardian for shield gating, and quick thinking, it's essentially impossible to die, you don't even get hit from toxin or magnetic procs.

Prime laser rifle is a much better stat stick for tenacious bond. You just need a riven with CC + point strike. It’s only really more useful on Diriga though, since it has IPS + whatever other elements you can fit on it. My build uses the new Radiation mod as well so I get 6 statuses on Dirigas zap, great for priming.
But it does shoot faster than the 2 other weapons you mentioned too, so it can also be useful for procing synth deconstruct or energy generator on Dethcube with some fire rate and punch through.
Great guide, looking at the build, your combat discipline was maxed out but you said it should be at zero. does this imply we need to use forma or just a slight overlook

MR11 Been playing this build and it great, I'm wondering if there is another frame you can use this build on, would like to try out some other frames without a new investment on mods/arcanes and such. Any other frame I can copy this build onto?

little bit of an error at 11:05, sentinels aren't the only companion type that can run guardian, i personally use a hound with guardian, shield charger, manifold bond and null audit as mods that can increase my survivability further (null audit is especially useful when it steals a leech eximus or guardian eximus ability) and of course as a primer with manifold bond and synergized prospectus
Looking at this build has actually given me a couple of new ideas on how to build Gauss. Oh man tonight is going to be a long night of theorycrafting potential builds lol.

@Levi-ix5es I'm addicted to using warframe abilities, so I have a bad habit of stacking as much ability strength as humanly possible in to each frame lol. It took a bit, but with the help of MHBlacky_ENG, I took some bits from his build and combined it with mine. For my build I made use of both Archon Vitality and Archon Flow, since Gauss' 3 does both heat and cold damage and I'll be damned if it didn't work better than I thought. Archon Vitality double proccing heat damage is just sooooo good.
After seeing the gauss prime memes and after seeing this video, i have decided to get the gauss prime access pack when i can because it looks sick and op

It is a bloody great build. I have done some changes and want to share if ppl want to do as well. Replace the Primed Flow with the Narrow Minded, this is a great boost and help sustain your buffs since buffs in 4th ability scales from Duration. Then, use 2x Azure Archon Shards for 150 Energy max leaving you 375 Energy and Equilibrium is strong enough to sustain the energy. The other 3 shards will be Crimson Archon Shards for Duration. You will have stronger and longer buffs but to the cost of lower Range for 3rd ability. However, the radius of the 3rd ability still gonna be 20 meters so I'm fine with that.
For the Acceltra, you might wanna use the Rifle Ammo Mutation mod since the mod gives you more ammo conversion and you should have already had Vigilante Supplies on your Companion Weapon.
Overall, great guide, neat build and very well explanation. Thank you so much for making this guide.
Narrow minded is a huge nerf to range considering you are already using Sunder alot, and also running Overextended. Feels a bit contradictory.

Tell me you never play gauss without telling me you never play gauss. This build is pretty bad tbh. The wrym build is good and all but the gauss mod configuration is pointless. You say it's to buff your weapons but you build for range. Thermal sunder is a very powerful ability with good range and amazing effects adding overextended is not necessary unless you plan on only using thermal sunder as your means of damage. You then proceed to waste 2 mods slots on strength mods because you tanked it so much with overextended. You'd be better off running stretch and augur reach for 190% range which is more than enough and saving the 2 strength mods slots for other better mods such as more duration. Equilibrium for energy is also compleatly unnecessary. Taking IPS heat cold and blast damage while kinetic plating is active restores your energy. Duration, which you say is used to keep abilities up.longer does so much more. The strength of the buffs from redline are affected by duration rather than strength. If you want to make this a weapon buffing build you go for max duration without sacking range to keep sunder as a useful ability. Recommending nautilus as a companion is also useless because casting heat AND THEN cold sucks enemies in. "If you cast cold and then heat 'or vice versa' you make the enemies explode" is only half true. Heat and then cold creates more of an implosion effect. I've been playing gauss almost exclusively since 2020 and I've tried a lot of builds. You made this build and called it a "weapon buffing" build and ots just not. I don't have any actual problems with you building your gauss like this or reccomending other people do too. My problem is you advertising it as something it's not and something it does poorly even. If you wanted a weapon buffing gauss focus less on range and more on duration. You can also use thermal transfer to put viral on your weapons saving a mod slot making weapons even stronger. Make your build how you want but don't say "this builds main focus is buffing your weapons" and then do nothing to actually buff weapons other than arcane avenger +gauss

i get ur point playing gauss all my warframe time and understand that 3 of the mods are kinda useless but for me the 175% range doesnt quite fit it u maybe have a recommendation for more range without sacrifizing 2 mods slot to comprehend
The best gauss mix between duration and nuking
Brief respite i just use it cus this is a spamable thermal sunder build and if i were hit by electricity i can just spam it over and over till its over, cunning drift,primed continuity,streamline,equilibrium,umbrul intensify,overextended,primed flow,fleeting expertise rank 3 since you only need 170 efficiency,and stretch
Arcanes: molt augmented and efficiency
4 red shards duration and one yellow casting speed
You can switch out umbral intensify for any other mod if you have molt augmented maxed rank i use intensify cus i only need to get 60 kills to get 100% strength back instead of 200 this build took me to level 1k on zariman youll only have 65 seconds of his redline and kinetic plating but the lower the duration the quicker you reach 100% and the quicker you reach invincibility and full potential thermal sunder
Crafting gauss prime! Im fairly new to the game, he's my first frame
I got gauss prime as soon as i saw the trailer and never looked back his playstyle is so fun that i'm scared i'm not gonna touch any other warframe because running into enemies until i get 100 battery and evaporating everything in my path has to be the most fun i've had in a game in a long while
Any recommendations for arcanes to use temporarily until i get my arcane avenger and efficiency to max or leave them they are both at lvl 1 I have molt augmented at lvl 3 would that be a good replacement for one of the arcanes for now?

I feel like I just cannot get this build to function like it does here, how do you even get a Companion to damage enemies for the health orbs if you aren't even using a mod to allow its weapon to shoot? How is that coming into play?
Also I am using the exact same build as you for the Venka, and using it does not generate battery fast enough, it goes down way too fast. What am I doing wrong?

If you use arcane frostbite your damage may go up, especially if you have increased strength for faction damage roar through helminth, I do use a riv, but with my stats I do around 4.5 lowest shot, 15-35k on average shot, and 100k on the highest damage possible
Best Kaiju loadout ever made by me was 4 Lrg Pulse in place of the PPC's then refitted LRM 15 down to 5 then replace the other shoulder with a Heavy Rifle. 2 tons of ammo for LRM's and Rifle and fit in 10 double heat sinks. Never have to stop firing!!!
Honestly I couldn't wait to reach Sedna, I just bought Gauss straight up and didn't regret it! This frame is FUNNNN and the closest experience I'll have to The Flash in gaming LOL

Most of the survivability tools in this build are unnecessary. With Fast Deflection and Gauss's passive combined, the shield recharge delay is shorter than the minimum shield gate time even under 50% battery charge. This means that you are functionally invulnerable to anything but toxin (and by proxy, gas procs), hence why I think Rolling Guard and Fast Deflection are all the survivability you need, and Kinetic Plating can very easily be replaced by a helminth ability.

Got the Prime Acces pack for 70€, warframe + weapons + 2650 plat. My first purchase in the game. It gave me 160 houra of gameplay for free so its okay to give money back.
Also the counter on redline is just like a "discount" where it just decreases battery usage up to 100%, makes sense right?
Do you think the lesion is a good substitute for the melee?
I do have one question, you have the main build you show but you also show a Nuke build for just a second in the video, is the nuke build do the same things or is one a better build then the other? I do know to use them both one of the polarity's don't line up so one or the other will have a negative polarity. Just wanted to know which is the better out of the two builds you show! I have tried both builds and it seems like the nuke build has a bit more survivability but not sure if it is meant to go with the rest of the info in the video or if you just showed as an example since to use both you have to deal with a negative polarity.
The Nuke Build focusses on using Thermal Sunder to nuke the entire room. The other Build is made to be played with Gauss as a Gun Runner. Both work well. It's just up to personal preference which playstyle you prefer 😉

Its recharge is .25% per hit, so you need to hit alot of people just to make a difference

Rev Prime got a decent amount of attention, same with Wisp Prime. Most frames that were already good before their prime will get hyped up.
What about subsuming a movement ability to further Gauss as a movement frame? Now, I'm only MR12 and still entry level content so far, but I was looking at subsumable abilities at work and thought about what it would be like if I subsumed Nehza's fire walker so you get even more speed and a trail of fire. OR Saryn's molt for speed and an explosive decoy...
I use Fire Walker in place of Thermal Sunder and it is a lot of fun, but can struggle a little.

That's true, but there's a little fun difference, you know those traps in the void? The ball thingy, well if you have a prime Warframe and touch it u get 240 energy pulse, just a fun fact.
Totally agree. There's only a very select few examples where the Prime is so superior that the build actually changes.
For weapons though, the Primes are usually more of a worthy upgrade.
And I think while it doesn't matter so much for Gauss himself, going for the Acceltra Prime over the normal one might be worth considering ;)
The normal Acceltra works, too of course but the Prime is objectively better ^^
Primes gain 2-3 Minor stat buffs
Gauss gets sprint speed increased, shield max increased
And the turrets in the void give 240 energy to your entire team when touched for the first time

Hi, i only have like less then a half of these mods you mentioned and im like almost 20h into the game so what would like an early game accessable mods be like?
There's a lot of ways that Gauss can be built. It's difficult to recommend THE early game setup because of this. I'd say focus on a good balance between range and duration ehile keeping strength above 100% at any cost.
Whichever mods you have, if you build him into this direction, you're doing well ;)
Wondering if you can answer a question, I have all six Vigilante Mods but when I tried to put them on my Diriga's Weapon, using the Verglas, as you explain to do in the video i can only see and insert four of them, the other two are not showing as an option to put into the build, I verified that i have them but i can't see them to insert them into the build. Any idea how to fix this or why they are not showing on the sentinel's weapon? Not sure if it matters but the two that are not showing up to place in the build are Vigilante Pursuit & Vigilante Vigor! I am hoping you have a solution or at least and explanation for this problem. Oh Also regarding Gauss's Build, do the mods go on Gauss in the order you list them or is there a specific order they need to go into the slots on Gauss?
That's very simple, the two Vigilante Mods that don't show up in Weapon Modding are Warframe Mods. They'll show up in your Warframe Mod Screen 😉
@@MHBlacky_ENG Oh ok that makes sense, I thought they were all suppose to go on the Sentinel Weapon the way you popped it up on the screen showing all six. So basically the Sentinel weapon will only have the four vigilante mods on it and that is all!
Oh and with regard's to the mods on Gauss, I was just going to put htem on in the order that you listed them since you didn't show the ordering of them in the video. I figure since you didn't show the mod build then you probably listed them in the order to put them on. BTW Thanks for all the time you spend putting the videos together, I have been watching a bunch of your videos tonight and really am enjoying them. So many videos i have watched and at the end i am more confused then when i started but you are very good at explaining what your trying to say and it helps me understand!

My gauss is collecting dust on the arsenal, i got sick of it after so many brama feet gauss on public squad.
Since you are using combat discipline, with nourish you are also triggering the explosion, meaning you are breaking container all around you.
you can also use thermal sunder to activate special arcanes like shivering, frostbite, flare, so you dont need to have it on any weapon, also blast for shield if you really want.
so if you use fast deflection, will it reduce 50% of the remaining 20% of shield delay, or the passive will reduce 80% of the 50% shield delay ...
They both work out to 10% lol.
and what about the focus?
How do you keep combat discipline at lvl 0?
Does the build shown in the video also work with just regular Gauss? I don't yet have any prime warframes, so I'm not entirely sure how big the difference is between them.
Works perfectly fine also with regular Gauss ;)
But normal gauss is quite a grind, and you need standing with a lot of factions for his materials.
So maybe gauss prime is easier to get for you

4:21 does this work with glaives thrown heavy?
Haven't tested it but it specifies that it's melee hits so I think it should include thrown melee...
could you suggest a build for kullervo?

If you're at least MR8 you could use the normal Acceltra. It's also pretty good ^^
Alternatively anything that has a bit of AoE works well with his playstyle. Maybe the Fulmin in Shotgun Mode or the Arca Plasmor 😉
Why didn't you bring up the fact you can charge/discharge your battery with thermal sunder? Cold proc charges battery while heat discharges, nice to charge your battery faster while you melee.
100% overcharge makes abilities not affect it, and you should always be at 100%
