땡 ddaeng - Is from the freeze-unfreeze game eoreum ddaeng- as the equivalent of freeze tag, the player can unfreeze other players while saying Ddaeng. Other meanings of 땡 ddaeng: wrong, symbolizes end of game, onomatopoeia of the bell sound. Also fun fact : At the end of the video- If interested - the newspaper says that the Mob boss is still missing and the reason the Maknae picked up the revolver is because he is the mob Boss 😬 Thank you for reacting! Makes me happy when you react to SKZ. You will appreciate Domino. There is not a full music video. Only a teaser so better to react to a lyric video. Double Knot is also pretty epic and both Domino and Double Knot has English Versions (but just not the same)
Omg I saw them three weeks ago in concert and this song went so hard. When they would say freeze before the drop. Everyone would freeze and then once it dropped we were all going crazy.. aahhhh
Ddang does not mean "Freeze". Sorry. 'Eoreum' means freeze/ice and Ddang is the word you say to unfreeze in the Korean version of Freeze Tag. Ddang has many other meanings but not freeze. (Listen to the song with subtitles and when they say Eoreum the subtitles say Freeze. You can also look it up.)
Please, stop comparing everything to BTS. KPOP has been around longer then BTS as well as the Korean language which will have similar words being used. (Yes, that is sarcasm.)
Hey it’s complimentary to compare them to BTS ‘cause they look up to BTS. It’s all good. I am an Army & a Stay so I am here for all of it. BTW I’ve only been to a Stray Kids concert though and it was all I ever dreamed of and will do it again!
@@leleprescott3241It might be as a compliment, but It gets annoying and 3racha didn't work they ass off creating a genre to be compared to a most popular group all the F time.
@@leleprescott3241For example, I'm pretty sure you also wouldn't want them to compare BTS to BigBang every time they hear a new BTS music just because BigBang are their seniors, and Bts admire them and BigBang is all they know about KPOP. It's not cool, it's not fair, it gets anoying
@@mariajosecaballerovera8959 completely agree. Like the whole point is skz is a completely different group from bts. And their music, success, and accomplishments shouldn't have to be constantly held up against another groups (its not fair to them)
In the context of the song it means “unfreeze” when you’re playing tag in Korea. So when you get tagged you “freeze” and when someone untags you they say “ddaeng” meaning “unfreeze”. It’s also being used simultaneously as an onomatopoeia though for the gun sound.
BTS was not there before SHINEE, EXO, or Super Jr. They are good but Stray Kids are pretty unique to Kpop they cater to all genres of music everywhere all around the world describes them perfectly. Love your reactions.
if you react to Domino next, just make sure to remember that the "Unveil" one is a teaser video that they put out before the album dropped, it's not the full song and there is no full music video for it

skz are using that word as its meaning of "freeze" in the korean freeze tag game bts' used ddaeng in 7 different ways (including this way) maybe they took some inspiration? but ultimately i dont think the songs have much correlation.
Ddaeng is common word for Korean, so everyone use this word on daily also for lyrics. So nothing related or inspiration with other song or band, they just use the same word like word love.
Yess, next time domino, if you can, do all 3 versions: the dance practice, the lyrics version and the video... because the video and the lyrics version are different, the vodeo is shorter..

Next time "DOMINO" by stray kids
'Domino' was never a big hit in Korea, but the song and choreography are so cool that I wish they would have climbed back up the chart.
YESS DOMINO PLEASE
THIS! Yes. Do a lyric video and then the dance practice. The choreo will have you out of breath.
Yess best stray kids song!!
Ddaeng is not reference to Bts, It's just a korean word. Also it's not very common in kpop songs to refer to other kpop grps
I love Stray kids so much! More of SKZ pls. ❣️
Dude, Ddaeng means Freeze. The title of the song. Nothing to do with the BTS song, except they both have the same title.
