Please take note that the pokeweed ("tintureira" in portuguese) is a exotic and very invasive species, much like the mimosas, and confirmed by the relevant conservation entities. So, with that considered, you should cut them down as quickly as possible, because the birds then get the seeds to many other places. They have a huge "potato" like root (specially if they're that size already) and they will sprout quicky again from that. One way that I know to deal with them is, just after cutting the plant at the bottom, is to put muriatic acid just in the stem, as it will enter that potato root and eventually kill it. But sometimes, when the potato is already very big, you have to do this as quickly as possible with all the sprouts. When the plant is invasive like this one, sometimes you do need to remove them using some type of product to help you do it efectively. @AlongThePathsOfNature

Fazer uma mistura de 1/2 litro de água + 1 ou 2 colheres de sopa com detergente líquido. Mexer bem, mas sem fazer espuma. Colocar num recipiente borrifador e VOILÁ!!!! Borrifar sobre as plantas atacadas e pronto. Se for no início das pragas, é uma maravilha! Esperar 3 ou 4 dias e é uma limpeza ....
Hi Elaine, That is our “patio” in the vegetable garden. Just a place with a table and seats. Sometimes we have breakfast or lunch there. Our I use it as a workspace for transplanting or whatever I’m doing. Our drinking my morning tea and watching the garden and the birds. It has a nice shadow from the small trees. 😍🤗
