It was two smelt on the bottom bait from a forgotten lake my son had shown me we had an amazing day fishing I will never forget it 🎣🐟lovely catch’s buddy well worth the cold winters morning 🎣good luck 🎣
Its only a few inches over depth and done so that the float lays flat and with lots of debris floating down the drain it catches on the line and therefore doesn't drag it under when its over depth. When a bite occurs, the float cocks and sails up stream most of the time 😎
Can’t beat an early morning pike session on the drains! Another good one 👏🏻
Thanks Rob, it's a great feeling seeing the float go and not knowing whats on the end!

Could I ask what reels your using please? Nice session!
These are Shimano 8000 OC Oceanic bait runners, very good reels. Loaded with Fox Predator Elite braid in 40lb. Thanks for watching 😎
Why put the float overdepth? Would that not ruin bait indication quite a bit ??
