I see people are complaining about Thomas and Khumba's knowledge of pop stars. Not every radio station and radio show is about pop music. These are not YFM presenters. Y'all need to know what Kaya FM is about first and then know their target audience as well.
True and I think it’s okay for them to differ, we can’t all be about “New age music” or however they call it. (That’s what we need to understand as people). I for one love Skhumba’s taste in music honestly not this new generation shandis.
Ay san Thomas Msengana thanks for asking u Slikour the question about the accents. he was so embarrassed he didnt answer. Enkosi nhutwam. Skhumba ngnawe mnaka.
I'm just happy 25k doesn't sound like an American. Ke mfanaa Pitori, you feel that in every verse, when I listen to him, the lingo takes me back home, Pretoria North. Dankie 25k for keeping it real, thank you for not sounding like an American.
@@thalyfstyl8627 I don't want to say hip pop is dead but as they said hip pop artists are not hungry enough and as guys like us we appreciate consistency. i feel like for music to pop up within any country needs to dominate and right now ama piano is popping and anything else follows
To everyone wondering (as if yall care), that is a Butan jersey that uSlikour ayinxibile and I've had my eyes on it for yonks! @Slikour, that shit is fresh mntakwethu!
The argument about John Wick and Banyana made me go check some numbers and Slikour is right. Banyana is bigger. For Thomas and Skhumba, it was just a question of preference and the circles they move in I think.
I beg to differ, people stream music for different reasons, and the bigger artists mostly get the most streams irregardless, small artists can have the biggest song yet have low streaming numbers because their brand is unknown
I used to hate on local rappers with American accents too... until I started rapping. I blame it on living abroad coz my accent's been diluted out here. But also, a lot of rappers, in the beginning, tend to sound like the rappers they listen to...

@@thianowedu-wedu2694 How can you be shocked, whites have more money. they buy CDs they don't pirate music. With Maskandi as a genre, its musicians are not making money due to people pirating their music
Thomas and Skhumba should realize there's a difference between making a conscience decision on what you design to play and what is being fed to you be the radio stations. They need to keep their ears on the ground hence the difficulty to comment on certain artists.
But no-one knows everything. This was supposed to be fun. It's not his job to know everything about rap music Slik also can't be a good comedian as Skhumba. Let's be kind with people.
To be honest the younger generation doesn't have faith on radio anymore, why? first and foremost they do not listen to radio and the internet is their biggest stage right now. You have more artists on Spotify, Audiomack etc and this makes it hard to really grade the music in its reality.
This is fun, though skhumba uworse, but this it also shows that even if an artist can be popping well he not been known by people who works at radio station well this is something i did not expect from radio people, i mean how can you play someone u don't knw or is it an ignorance.
Ngathi ngingahlala noSkhumba and Solphendula the whole day from Chillers and MacG
Felt like I was in a masterclass towards the end. Very interesting and intriguing!!!
LOL! That silence after the accent question Lmao!
Now this, this is dope🤞
Always been a fan of Skhumba and Thomas but this just prompt me to go listen to the radio show

I dunno if I'm with the times but I'm 30 and I knew all of them. Which is why we need more people who are willing to gi check online for the new stuff

Afrikaans music is making huge money? Ngathi I should fetch my afrikaans dictionary and hit the studio🤣🙌🏽
I was shocked when i heard that
Its really making money cause they sell to themselves and value their audience

Not every radio station and show is supposed to play pop music. So no, they didn't have to know the new pop stars
They don't know abo Focalistic & Elaine, di OG di fedile 🤣🤣
Eish its the divide of digital and traditional
Skhumba😂😂😂
Skhumba you don’t khow music period!!!!
Skhumba is ignorant to be quiet honest. He's a broadcaster now, he must stop with his ignorance
It depends though. I think it also shows the disconnect of internet hype vs mainstream.
I like Skhumba but you're right StadiVandal.

But slik Apple Music only needs 500-1000 listeners to be number 1
Maybe 7 years ago, not anymore bro
😂 Skhumba uyadliwa
😂 Skhumba is confusing Ntate Stuna and Malome Vector 😂 Uncle Stena
😂😂

Ha ha Sliqe, who is on 'subtitles' department, lol he's messing shame, shit ain make sense at all lol
banyana is big in Cape Town but not bigger than John Wick

skhumba don't feel this new wave i swear, kkkkkk
The biggest is hip hop song is K:HOVA slikour stop 🧢
K:hova is dope but I was looking at the stats
skhumba is a broadcaster and a comedian...was disappointed in thomas
I'm with Slikour, Banyana is bigger than JW at the moment
