I still think about forever young til this day even the song. You all really shaped the way we analyze music not only in SA but the world. Not only music, but culture, loving self, spiritual thought, fashion and just navigating being a huge fan in general of the movement of THEE ARTS ! 💓
I remember seeing Scoop on Street Journal for the first time and i have never seen anyone present the way he did. He used to have this thing where he would do a link and just walk away from the camera. I found that particularly cool. One of the greatest to ever do it. Siyabulela Ngwekazi
I knew nothing about basketball, kodwa i wanted to learn because of Siya Ngwekazi. I saw myself in you, being an introvert your spirit was infectious. i'm 37 years ngoku you still i grootman to me
I have never met this man in person but I have listened and consumed a lot the things he was part from Radio to presenting to hosting events this man was ( Is) the culture .. People like him and Sizwe brought the music and fashion to SA looked at music differently .. Thank you Siyabonga !
IM GLAD WERE GETTING MORE SCOOP INTERVIEWS BECAUSE THEY SO EDUCATIONAL AND YOU LEARN A LOT…..NGIYABONGA FOR INSPIRING ME AND THROUGH YOU I LEARN TO BE A BETTER ME…ENKOSI
I was a big fan of FOREVER YOUNG show! I dont do much of reality TV, but that show I respect. That's how i really connected with Scoop. He's really walking and running on his own lane... Me and my wife always talk about how important is "TO KNOW YOURSELF"All the best to Scoop and God Bless! Thank again G for another dope convo. PEACE!!!
I remember I had the privilege to sit down with Siyabonga in Cape Town and he was real AF. Not a superstar at all. We were having lunch at La Parada in Century City. I will never forget the wisdom he shared with me
Scoop makhathini interviews are always super insightful I dont think there will ever be a public figure in south africa who articulates and shares knowledge like this brother here does the new and upcoming kids can really learn alot super inspired
THOKOZAA👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 SCOOP FATHERED A GENERATION OF TRENDS... SOL WAS MENTIONING SOMETHING RELATIVE TO THAT THIS WEEK BUT WASN'T GIVEN LIGHT. SCOOP IS THE JEAN-MICHEL BASQUAIT OF PRESENTING. HE INTRODUCED PUNCHLINES TO BROADCASTING AND THE WHOLE WORDING FROM STREET CULTURE TO SA ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA.
Siyabonga is definitely a one of one..an extreme force to be reckoned with and George let me be the first to say your intro song has this nostalgic thing about..great platform and phenominal conversations..keep going!!
Scoop is really on point where he touched the street wear brands, SA still lacking creativity and i mean the guys are doing well but they still need to explore the culture
this guy right here i can proudly say his my own personal role model i have always followed him in every space he would showup in, from basketball, hip-hop ,radio, tv, you name it, this guy was doing what podcasts are today before they even where invented, street journal and later street journal by night still legendary to this day i hope i can still excess it here on Utube, with you grotman we learned that you can be a global thinker and still be hood down to earth umjita a guy next door you brought it home brother you still do, just a brilliant guy, today we are taking in international investors and playing in the space of global markets while we just ourselves and keeping fresh and authenticlly fresh too you taught us how to think all roundedly if i can put that into words, you deserve your flowers brother great to see you grotman its an honor to finally comment on you about the role you have played in my life shout out to you RIP AKA you the legend we got left brother you deserve your flowers king salute grotman GODSPEED KING!!!! and thank you Geoge for bringing the first free thinker trendsetter legend of my Generation Salute!
You've just simplified a very complex idea by those few lines: "Wack people don't doubt themselves... They are always over-confident". It's called the Dunning-Kruger Effect. 👌🏾
Enjoyed the interview, felt like you focused too much on the career/culture/industry side of things and could have really dug deep into the deeper side of life... spirituality, self discovery, life wisdom... I do understand you mentioned he did another podcast recently leaning towards personal life however there were little threads in your guy's conversations where you could have gone alot deeper, because honestly speaking, our youth needs more influential people speaking about the importance of intentionally cultivating our inner lives so we can show up with alot more authenticity and self awareness... Great interview regardless🙏🏽
I think everything changed after covid, he was not really into the new sound of Hip hop. He also had a problem with the fake celebrity life. He outgrew alot of things in the industry.
"Experience real dopamine " is SUUUUUCH an underrated gem. Animvanga uTa Scoop😫

I remember back in my primary school days, rushing home just to watch scoop shows on Channel O. I gotta say he is the reason why I dig SA hip hop.
