With anvil you can combine books and items or two of the same items and you can also repair tools and armor on it but it costs levels and a bit of iron to make anvil
CJS book with smite 4 power 4 can u use for ur sword smite 4 makes it so u deal more damage to zombies skelleton creepers literly almost all monster accept all spiders silver fish and endermite and the power 4 u can use on ur bow to make it deal more dmg for this u need an anvil that cost 3 iron blocks and 4 iron ingots in tottal is 31 iron ingots u can easly find this in a cave
for xp try find a deep dark biome and mine loads of sculk with a diamond hoe, if u find an ancient city u can get really good hoes with mending and mine all the sculk but be careful because the warden spawns in deep dark biomes

you can shift + click the itens to your chest, it will make it quicker to organize your things and dont have do drag'n'drop anymore
and you can combine 2 equal enchantments and create a higher enchantment in the anvil.
Example: Protection IV + Protection IV = Protection V

you can combine a fishing rod with an enchanted book or another fishing rod in an anvil but it costs levels this also works for bows
