I recently built my first PC after using a laptop for so long and it's absolutely worth it. Finding the graphics card however is a littlleeee tough these days though haha. Before I started using this, I was vtubing on a laptop and its totally viable!
Thank you for this! I already stream with just mic from my PS4 and I've been having so much fun. I've always loved Vtubers, just never thought I could do it bc I wasn't really sure how it worked. I finally downloaded Vroids just for the heck of it and many many hours later I completed my avatar and can't wait to be able to use her. Only problem is, I don't have the space for a full PC setup so laptop is really my only option but I wasn't sure it could be done. Glad to know I can keep working towards my goal!
if you have a gaming pc just buy a 2nd pc just for the vtubing software the low you can go is a 4 core amd a10 with a gtx 660. i get 24fps with my custom HD scene. you can build one for around $250 if you also used NDI plugin for obs and use the gpu of the main gaming pc to render the obs and output it to twitch
I think an r5 5500, which costs about $100 right now, is a decent choice for a budget build. Slap that onto a budget am4 motherboard($50-80ish), 2x8GB sticks of DDR4 ram 3200mhz ($40-50), a bronze rated psu ($50ish), whatever storage you need/have lying around (an SSD is nice to have), stuff it all in a $50ish case and you'll end up with a build that performs a lot better than you'd expect once you pair it with an Nvidia gpu so nvenc can lighten the load on the cpu. You could probably make it even cheaper if you look around hard enough for some nice deals. Especially when it comes to the gpu. P.S. If the 5500 costs more than $100 then go for a 5600 instead. In fact, try to go for 5600 if you can afford it, because it performs quite a bit better and is worth it. The 5500 is kinda gimped in comparison and will limit you a lot down the line. P.S.2 Make sure the motherboard supports the cpu without a bios update, and if it doesn't then make sure the motherboard supports bios flashback. Very important.
In your intro, I want to kind of do both and what I'm wondering is, will it work for chatting, watching videos on youtube and gaming in the background or will it not? I'm hoping to start vtubing once I get the things I need to begin. Anyways. Great video. Your video on console vtubing was really helpful and now this new video. I'm glad I found your videos. They're really helpful and informative .
So any of them will work for both really... If you are using your console you will pretty much load up the youtube videos or websites on the console as well as the games... If you go at least the mid (or preferably) high tier it will do both flawless on the same machine :)
If you're on a STRICT budget, you can go to thrift stores and pick up desktops. If you can manage to get a desktop that has a Core 2 Duo, it most likely will let you upgrade to a Core 2 Quad CPU. (Make sure to apply thermal paste after replacing!) Most of those motherboards can run up to 8GBs of RAM. Here are my specs. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz 4GBs of DDR2 RAM GT 1030 GDDR5 2GBs Now you aren't gonna do very good in gaming. I tried streaming and while it WORKED, my model and the game (Dark Souls 2) lagged a bit. But if you have a decent internet connection and an Xbox One or PS4, see Senpai's tutorial on how to stream from it. I did it on New Years with Mass Effect Andromeda and it was stable! So if you're on a strict budget, this is a worthwhile build. Best of luck everyone! PS: It's a half decent gaming rig too. Siege runs at 30FPS with slight stutters on 720p low. Most games up to 2015 will run at low/modded low settings. Overall the rig costed me about 175$ in total.
Still really undecided whether I'd get laptop or ready-built desktop 🤣 cuz i won't just use it for streaming and possible vtubing. I'd also use it for work too. I do a lot of digital stuff, photography, graphic design. 16GB Of Ram Is def preferred.. I would upgrade that if you can.. BUT BUT BUT You CAN get away with vtubing and light gaming with the ram you have now (Small games like an rpg mmo type)

I honestly just wanna do it to try it out. Before I even bother with vtubing. I still need to really understand all the software and hardware most streamers would use to create their layouts and junk. I keep looking at many streamers layouts and think to myself. How the hell did you do that bloody wizard!? But the main thing. How do streamers put up measures to avoid doxing themselves, given how I'm looking at my computer and its full of stuff I really don't want the public to see. The immediate solution is 2 monitors. But I'm wondering if it can be done with just my laptop. Since I do have a nice 150 dollar 1ms 25 inch monitor. But thats expressly for gaming console which I plan to run an elgato through into my laptop. Can it be done in 1 monitor or do I need to buy a 3rd screen expressly for being the screen that my viewers see on stream?

Everything can be done with 1 monitor and you setup OBS to only capture your game and avatar... capturing your entire desktop isnt really a thing people do anymore... if you need help with it.. join my discord and we can try to assist you!
thx for this video you lift some worries from me, but i still got a question for you, what spec i need for pc i want to build so i can stream any game on 1080p 60 fps while using my vtubing camera?
Well that comes down to a matter of opinion and budget... That also comes down to the games you want to play... I know you say "any game" but if you are only playing doki doki then I would suggest a different pc than if you were playing COD... Honestly I would look for something that has a min of an RTX 2060 (what I have) 16GB of ram min (Fastest RAM Speed you can get) and I would suggest the latest 8 core processor (Either AMD or Intel)
@@VtuberSenpai Even at such low settings? Well that's new to me as am not a PC gamer. OK then I'll set a menu for PC part picker and see how much budget it might cost. As what am aiming for is the streaming standards which it 1080p 60fps. BTW am also not sure if 1080p 60fps is standard or low or high but most vtubers I watch stream up to that. Some stream at higher but really few who do. Thank you again for your help. One more question if you don't mind. do you mind giving me your opinion on the parts that I will plan to pick later?
So alot of people stream at 720p even... Remember majority of peoe are watching you in a small screen and not really going full screen... But please feel free to join my discord.. I have a great community who is willing to help (as am I)
I'm using an Asus zephyrus ga502du 1660ti max Q 16gb ram Ryzen 7 3750h 2.3ghz I'm thinking about playing games, chatting and watching random videos at times. I feel like this will be fine with live2D but I really want more opinions.
@@VtuberSenpai oh yeah I don't think I'd be playing anything to intense on the GPU most likely stuff like overwatch, Doom/doom eternal, and whatever else I have that isn't too demanding.

I can't afford to built PC fat the moment or RTX 3070 (8 GB), is it a good option and can laptop handle something like vtubing, streaming and teaching viewers about live 2d Cubism or blender. Or vtubing streams while playing Genshin? I would really appreciate your'e opinion
Hi VtuberSenpai I just need your opinion on a laptop was bought for me I was wondering if it is enough to start vtubing with live 2d model AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500U (up to 4.0 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, 6 cores, 12 thread) + AMD Radeon™ Graphics 8 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 X 4 GB) 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD I appreciate your help!
everything seems to be able to handle vtubing to me... You states Radeon Graphics but without knowing the exact one im not sure if you could game and vtube at the same time.... but specs wise you should be able to at least stream... what you can do is install vtube studio (its free) and give it a test before you spend any more money and see how it runs
@@VtuberSenpai Oh nice nice its a HP 15 3f2000 and yeah unfortunately it doesnt really state what the graphic specs is tho from the benchmarks I can guesstimate it to be about 2gb internal graphics Thanks again for your advice Senpai
Heyo Senpai, I know I may be late to the party but I'm currently running a i5-9600K, rtx 2060 super with 2x8gb 2666mhz ram. I did try streaming with vtuber studio while playing a game like dead by daylight but the game seem to keep crashing, cpu at 98%, memory at about 90% im thinking of upgrading my ram to 16x2 but otherwise do you have any advise or optimized settings?
Yeah so this is a common issue... in vtube studio.. Anti alias put from 16x to 4x... Change resolution from 1080p to 720p max.. this will help your performance.. if you still have any issues join my discord and send me a dm

I am not interested in live-streaming. I just want to do videos with a virtual avatar that I record and edit before uploading them. And I want a Windows Laptop because it is nigh impossible to find software that will do the necessary face-capturing on a Mac.
3tene works on a mac... But all you need to do is download vseeface... my tutorial video shows you everything you need to do to add it to obs... once added to OBS you just hit record instead of going live... here is the video ruclips.net/video/ZxbBR2Tgk0Y/видео.html
@@VtuberSenpai --- A few tiny problems. First of all - VSeeFace does not run on the mac. It actually explicitly says so on their page. Just in case - I tried to follow your directions anyway. And sure enough --- their web-page was telling the truth ---- VSeeFace does not run on the Mac. As for 3tene ---- it does not seem to see anything from the webcam (even though it claims to know about the webcam) --- and therefore is completely unusable.
Crap sorry I didn't mean vseeface I meant 3tene.. I have vseeface on the mind all the time lol so the webcam not detecting is interesting.. you could try using your phone as a webcam.. I believe the iphone app epoccam does that for iOS.. that is the only path I can think of at this time
@@VtuberSenpai -- Oh -- 3tene -- yeah -- tried that one -- but I could not get it to at all react to my webcam -- and could not find any resources that would help me figure out what was causing that problem, let alone how to fix it. So I would love to use 3tene -- but if I can not figure out how to get it to react to my webcam, it is basically unusable.
I am working on testing other software for mac... there are rumors that some other popular PC versions of vtubing software coming for the mac this year... Once they reach out to me with a beta I will def make a video :D

I’ve looked into system requirements for Vtube programs like vup and vseeface and pretty much my only concern is the Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics. Would is be good enough to run those programs? Sorry if this is really long 😅
So I looked into that laptop itself as well.. It does seem like it will do everything you want it to..... BUT there MIGHT be some issues when you stream, vtube and game at the same time... Depending on the game it might have some lag (games like apex or valorant) if its more simpler games then I can see any issues with what you provided and what ive seen

hahaha I like it! I will try that on the next video I make :P "its monday my dudes... sooo lets get into it"
so i got a gameing laptop with a ryzen 4000 series 7 would that to be good for vtubeing ?
Oh for sure!
Allright I appreciate it i just need to make the avatar
thank youuuu!!
You're welcome
@@VtuberSenpai and what if i change it to i5-9400F. is that still enough? i mean, streaming as a vtuber and play a game at a same time?
Yes as long as it has 4 cores you can make it work for sure

thx for this video you lift some worries from me, but i still got a question for you, what spec i need for pc i want to build so i can stream any game on 1080p 60 fps while using my vtubing camera?
Well that comes down to a matter of opinion and budget... That also comes down to the games you want to play... I know you say "any game" but if you are only playing doki doki then I would suggest a different pc than if you were playing COD... Honestly I would look for something that has a min of an RTX 2060 (what I have) 16GB of ram min (Fastest RAM Speed you can get) and I would suggest the latest 8 core processor (Either AMD or Intel)
@@VtuberSenpai
Even at such low settings?
I have a great community who is willing to help (as am I)
@@VtuberSenpai thank you kind sir.
I'm using an Asus zephyrus ga502du
1660ti max Q
16gb ram
Ryzen 7 3750h 2.3ghz
I'm thinking about playing games, chatting and watching random videos at times.
I feel like this will be fine with live2D but I really want more opinions.
it will be more than fine with LV2D and shouldnt give any issues UNLESS you are playing super graphic intensive games like apex
@@VtuberSenpai oh yeah I don't think I'd be playing anything to intense on the GPU most likely stuff like overwatch, Doom/doom eternal, and whatever else I have that isn't too demanding.
That should be perfectly fine
@@VtuberSenpai I actually just upgraded last night to a Laptop with a
Rx5600m
4800h CPU
16gb ram
This should be more than enough
For sure!!!
I plan on getting a laptop with this specifications: Intel Core i9-11900H (11th Gen) NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (6 GB) 512 GB NVMe M.2 SSD, to to learn rigging on live2d Cubism and to Vtube and play games like Genshin. I can't afford to built PC fat the moment or RTX 3070 (8 GB), is it a good option and can laptop handle something like vtubing, streaming and teaching viewers about live 2d Cubism or blender. Or vtubing streams while playing Genshin? I would really appreciate your'e opinion
With those specs... It should run great for you :)
Y'all:*listening*
Me:*intensely looking at his jacket*
Lol yeah... I updated my jacket to something better in my latest vids ☺️
Imma build my pc.
I plan on getting R7 5700xt and RX6650XT.
I think it would allow me to stream my fully modded skyrim minus the nude mods.
maybe :P
Hi VtuberSenpai I just need your opinion on a laptop was bought for me I was wondering if it is enough to start vtubing with live 2d model
AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500U (up to 4.0 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, 6 cores, 12 thread) + AMD Radeon™ Graphics
8 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 X 4 GB)
512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD
I appreciate your help!
everything seems to be able to handle vtubing to me... You states Radeon Graphics but without knowing the exact one im not sure if you could game and vtube at the same time.... but specs wise you should be able to at least stream... what you can do is install vtube studio (its free) and give it a test before you spend any more money and see how it runs
@@VtuberSenpai Oh nice nice its a HP 15 3f2000 and yeah unfortunately it doesnt really state what the graphic specs is tho from the benchmarks I can guesstimate it to be about 2gb internal graphics
Thanks again for your advice Senpai
"which is better: 2d or 3d vtubers?"
Me: " both! both is good!"
Heyo Senpai,
I know I may be late to the party but I'm currently running a i5-9600K, rtx 2060 super with 2x8gb 2666mhz ram.
I did try streaming with vtuber studio while playing a game like dead by daylight but the game seem to keep crashing, cpu at 98%, memory at about 90%
im thinking of upgrading my ram to 16x2 but otherwise do you have any advise or optimized settings?
Yeah so this is a common issue... in vtube studio.. Anti alias put from 16x to 4x... Change resolution from 1080p to 720p max.. this will help your performance.. if you still have any issues join my discord and send me a dm
Hello Senpai! I know I am a little late but I wanted to ask, Can I use imac for vtubing?
Yup! Youll have to use 3tene to do it :)
@@VtuberSenpai Thank you for the help!
Hi! Im thinking of getting a macbook soon, which mac do you use/were planning to use for vtubing? Thanks in advance! I just need some references to see if I need to upgrade anything
Can this laptop livestream genshin impact with live 2d vtuber model
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 Intel Core i5 11th Gen 15.6" (39.62cm) FHD IPS Gaming Laptop (16GB/512GB SDD/4GB NVIDIA RTX 3050/120Hz/Win11/Office 2021/Backlit/Shadow Black/2.25Kg),82K101EBIN
Edit there is another variant that has amd ryzen 5 5600 H
Both cost about 843$
With those specs yes
EVERYTHING is put of stock sadly it feels like it's gonna be 2030 when I can finally build a gtx 3060ti pc
Just use what you have! Im sure its good enough :D
(Naturally, one would ask if it was configured for the right webcam - but I confirmed that it in fact was -- so _that_ surely was not the problem.)
Question: so the laptop im considering buying is the HP Pavilion Laptop - 15t-eg100 touch optional and these are the specs. Windows 11 HomeIntel® Core™ i7-1195G7 (up to 5.0 GHz, 12 MB L3 cache, 4 cores, 8 threads) + Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics16 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD.
@@VtuberSenpai thank you so much for the help. Hope you’re doing well :)
i wanna vtube, game, and stream on twitch from a Razer blade 14 laptop. It has 16gb of ram with a 3060. Would that work okay?
yes for sure! More than enough spec there! Also Love the name :P

i5-10400F and GTX 1660Ti. is that enough senpai???
Oh yes definitely!
Good evening, Vtuber Senpai.
I'm going to do a Genshin Impact streaming with vtubing software + OBS with this PC I'm going to build with these specs
1. Intel i5 10400f
2. GTX 1050 TI
3. 16 GB RAM
4. 512 GB SSD
Can this suffice?
Thank you for the answer! 😌
Heya! Yes your specs should be good enough!
@@VtuberSenpai will it cause bottleneck or low performance, since I'm worried that the i5 10400f needs to run Genshin + OBS + Tracking + Model Rendering?
I don't think so... Honestly I would run the obs setup and see what resolution and settings it sets you up for and then try it... Genshin isn't overly intense on any system so I think you should be fine. If you do have any issues please join my discord and dm me... I will attempt to help you find settings that might work for you
@@VtuberSenpai will do.
Thank you very much, your answer is appreciated!
Edit : planning to set my Genshin on 1080p low/medium
Hey senpai I was wondering, I found a deal for a laptop that is within my budget and it has a ryzen 5 5600h and gtx 1650 would this be enough?
Yes! Thats perfect Vtube and game on... Games will run on those specs while vtubing :) If you need any help please feel free to join the discord and or stream (Links in description and Pinned Comments)
Will do and thanks for your help I really appreciate it.
No worries! Glad to help!
my build:
cpu: ryzen 5 3600
ram: 8gbx2 3200mhz
gpu: gtx 1660 super
is this build ok?
Definitely! Since you have a 1660 make sure you use nvenc as it will give you more of an overhead for your cpu!
@@VtuberSenpai Thanks!
More than enough, just make sure you use nvenc
Is i5 6th Gen, 8GB Ram, 512GB SSD, and Intel HD Graphics 520 good?
If you are doing just chatting and smallish games then yes
@@VtuberSenpai I only play MC, no shaders since I hate one...
