Fishing a Fast Sinking line on the Inverfiddich pool at Easter Elchies River Spey

In this video I describe how to Fish a Fast Sinking line on the Inverfiddich pool at Easter Elchies River Spey.
Fishing a fast sinking line is so easy, can be so much fun when you know how, but also, very productive in the right fishing scenario.
I point out the key mistakes made by people when Fishing a Fast Sinking line, which in this case is a Fast Sinking Shooting head.
Easter Elchies is one of many picturesque beats on the River Spey, a beat which in the past was linked to Macallan Distillery, hence Easter Elchies house.
Much of the difficulty associated with fishing a fast sinking line is based around a lack of understanding of the basics or fundamentals of Spey casting casting and simply not having the line on the surface of the water when making the transition from the lift to the swing, sweep or loading move.
In this video I'm using a 15 foot Cadence Ian Gordon Double handed or Spey Rod, as even with a short line I can use the length of the rod to bring the fast sinking line to the surface without the aid of a roll cast.

I use the Hardy 16' 11#
For spring fishing as you say you get better lift ! I still fishing the full DT line and a DT 100' of sink 2 fishing deeper then a short head of sink 2. And the swing is different to.
I fish heads absolutely but a full line is special to my heart. Artur Ogelsby did tech me 1982 at river Spey.
