Everyone can say what they want about the album, but I truly think it kicks ass. They done a hell of a job on this album and to be able to listen to new Atreyu after like 14 years is amazing! 🤘🏻
I'm a long time Atreyu fan. All the way back to the fractures EP. I was also really bummed when Alex left the band because he was one of my favorite parts. But I'm actually loving this record front to back. It's definitely not what they used to be but I think where people are having a problem is expectations. I don't know what some people thought was going to happen but based off the singles we got this whole album is exactly what I expected it to be. Once again it's different, but it is really enjoyable for me personally. And there's a lot of moments on the record where I actually hear the classic Atreyu that I fell in love with. I'm equally as stoked for Alex's project in the future. Well done boys!
Damn... I forgot about Fractures In The Facade of Your Porcelain Beauty! Fuuuuck! Ty for the reminder. Such bad quality and production but for it's time, it was sooooo fucking good. And sooo heavy! Then Suicide Notes came which was such a step up and led into The Curse, which is still one of THE best rock/metal albums of all time. From start to finish, that album made such a goddamn statement and changed the scene forever.
Yeah, dude, I feel it but I'm excited to hear what Alex comes out with, too. He has Dead Icarus on the back burner and he's attending a school for guitar craftsmanship in Michigan. Hoping eventually he gets his own creative project off the ground, starts his guitar work and rejoins Atreyu as well. That would be absolutely amazing
Been an Atreyu fan since 6th grade in '09, this band truly saved my life. I was crushed when i found out they were on hiatus, ecstatic when they started making music again, felt absolutely whole. I didnt know this album was released till 12 hours ago when I was driving home and this popped up on Apple Music, and found out Alex left. Long live Atreyu, this album rocks. God bless Alex, get better soon man!
I've been listening to this album nonstop since it came out. I hope they come back to PA again soon and perform the songs from this album again, couldn't make it this year.
The album is one of the best assemblies I've heard since the 90s, the full circle relativity to the intro shows the depth of this expression. Thankyou for this one guys, I think we all needed it...

I love the Curse but also love Death Grip and Leads etc. Idk what happened I think I as many people stopped liking them because of the (now former) drummer, who sounds like a complete douchebag in their last 2 albums, almost every chorous is over the top (specially in our awake) the lyrics have also become much worse. From beautiful love poems and songs about nature being killed by men to whatever "overrated" is. They just became unlikable and Alex's departure (granted his vocals are much worse now) was the final straw.

Found this a few weeks ago, and it adhered to my soul, which bled into the rest of this other worldly album. I ached for music with this content and style in such a way I didn't even know. Learned pretty much all of em at this point, dunno if the people are as enthusiastic about it as I am, but then again they don't really have a choice, if I'm in, I'm in it to win it. Been since right side of the bed since I really checked back, perfect timing. From the deepest part of my soul, emphatically thank you for your calling. Keep it real, much love and appreciation!!
I got outta basic and the next day my best friend and I saw Atreyu, A7x, bless the fall, BFMV, on the Taste of Chaos tour. I think that's when I really took a huge liking for atreyu after their Wonka boat scene intro. Keep em, coming Atreyu.
I like this album, but I don't agree. In Our Wake was more solid imo. Anger Left Behind, Paper Castle, No Control, Straigh to Hell. So many solid tracks.
