The trophy for lv 16 magic does work on Cure if used out of battle. The trophy will award on the next magic level up that you earn if you have Cure at 16. At least that’s what happened to me.

@@Primalliquid92 Just for any future people that might see this, it's any magic up I got the pirate chick to level up blizzard and it worked for me despite her having no level 16 skills.
