You know if your guy Grumpy is willing to try lobster ice cream, I'd definitely get the Pickle Corndog. I used to think peanut butter on a burger was gross, until I tried Slater's 50/50 PB & Jealousy. PB on a corndog is easily palatable by comparison. The beignets look delicious too. I can understand why they added peanut butter because of the pickle because for the past 40 years I’ve known any time you eat peanut butter be it a cookie or a peanut butter sandwich even a peanut butter lollipop which is peanut butter on a spoon… Have some lemonade with it and you will be in heaven! I think in this concoction the pickle takes over for the lemonade doesn’t you know what I mean? Well I know what I mean but I thought I’d throw that out there. Next time you have a peanut butter sandwich have it with a big cold glass of lemonade it’s so awesome!
We have a burger chain here in Portland called Killer Burger. They do an awesome peanut butter pickle bacon burger! Also, glad you went to Salt & Straw! That’s one of our Portland chains that expanded to the US! I remember when it was just a little push cart on Alberta Street with 4 flavors. Glad you guys had a fun food day! 💖

Actually the pickle dog was invented in Texas - Texas Rangers baseball stadium in 2018. Knott's had the Diilly Dilly Dog in 2019/2020. The Disney version has Panko...Knott's and Rangers don't. Genereally speakingm, if you want some really crazy foods, search for Texas Rangers baseball foods..there are some really crazy ones.
So we have a burger here in Nashville called the Elvis burger that's a cheeseburger with a peanut butter sauce on it. It sounded odd, but the sweet peanut butter with the salty cheese and burger is amazing. So oddly, this corn dog makes sense to me.
