What a complete and utter waste of time and money. Just so childish "scientists " can play fishermen.

Bruh. If it’s that deep just don’t watch the video… like tf. Guess I gotta open my big fat mouth as well then…… BET!
That waist of time & money saves lives. They aren’t just playing fisherman. They collect data and information on everything from weather patterns, to chemical compounds or contaminants in the water, they make sure that the routes that the ice breaker ships use are maintained and that the animals in that particular area are doing well, that’s not even close to everything they do, if it weren’t for them society wouldn’t have gotten very far, while I agree that their could be other ways that money could have been spent that would have had a more direct impact but without science or scientists then we wouldn’t know anything about anything, we wouldn’t know why or how anything happened. It’s practically engraved into human nature to be curious and to want to learn and discover. If it weren’t for people like them we wouldn’t know anything about the ocean and would probably be to scared of the unknown possibility’s that it has, if it weren’t for people who wanted to answer their questions about the unknown ( like a scientist… literally it’s exactly what they are their for) so stop hating literal decades on decades of scientists wanting to play “fisherman” are the reason that you got to play mermaids & pirates at the beach with a peaceful mind. If it weren’t for scientists humans would still be stuck in the 1600s eating dirt as a cure for the plague.

And don’t even get me started on how far science has brought forensics, medicine, & a continuously better understanding of our world and surroundings within just the last 20 years.

@NoelEllis-zp3ms that is science, not this rubbish masquerading as such.
