Maybe its called shell town because of 3 shell gas stations/convenient stores out of the 10 in town., or maybe they found shell rock in the two rivers of maumee/auglaize rivers lol! Its between fort wayne indiana and toledo,ohio on US 24, its (hub) city? People work in both toledo/fort wayne without bangs, but city council is on a roll with new businesses come in, the utilities not bad.
I also personally think it isn’t a bad place it’s a safe place safe neighborhood and I can’t sit here and say it’s all bad from just my experience. Sure there’s a few bad apples like the police department sure there’s some bad cops but there not all bad. I do believe the school system is awful mainly because they monitor bathrooms and if you don’t check in you go to the principal office and it has happened to me but not because I was doin anything I shouldn’t have I was simply using the restroom and with the incident I was dismissed from any future opportunities so leading me to drop out and work 80 hours a week just to get 500 dollars every two weeks I was struggling teen. I believe a lot needs fixed the school isn’t good for those kids I personally believe. Leading me to say that jobs pay rate is awful is difficult to even get a job
Defiance Ohio was an experience I lived there for awhile I disliked the environment if your a biracial person you will struggle with the police community and a school community and I have a lot more to say but I’ll save that for another time
