- The voice of reason is gradually prevailing in the controversy surrounding the naira redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. The Governor of the apex bank, Godwin Emefiele has finally appeared before the committee of the House of Representatives, which summoned him over the confusion caused by the naira redesign and exchange of old notes with new ones. The ad hoc committee, which is chaired by the Majority Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, hopes to use the opportunity to reach an agreement that will favor Nigerians. This was the position of Babajide and Mojeed Jamiu when the issue came up for discussion on the program on Monday

Very poor implementation and ill advised. Doesn't make any sense to think politicians will not have access to the new notes. It will be delivered to them at home and it's the common man that suffers the scarcity.

The best is that he should explore the banks to stop their acts in restricting people to acquire the notes at their ATMs and on the counter.

My brother and sister, this is the exact system the other developed countries are using. Nigeria may not be ripe or ready for it now, but in all sense, we are ready, only some people will always sabotage the process for it not to see light of day. The policy is workable in Nigeria and this is the best time for it. Ask your self why our various refinery are not working, and we can't even build one as one of the major export of grade, yet one man from same country is able to build a refinery. Simply because some few people are benefiting from it, hence they will make sure refinery never work in Nigeria.
Watch out what will happen if this policy work effectively.
1. Reduction in kidnapping.
2. Reduction in vote buying
3. Reduction in dollars price
4. Reduction in inflation
5. Reduction in price of commodity
6. Etc.
Why.
1. The source of the new naira can be traced. If banks want to.
2. No much more money hidden in homes or soakaway.
3. Money will be in circulation, I mean it will revolve round.
4. Interest on loan Reduction as there will be much money in bank to borrow out.
5. Bullion van in this election will not be seen from an individual.
Let's take some time to look at this policy with an open heart. I am not enjoying the suffering now, but I have seen that in Nigeria for better things to come, it may have to be like.

How does some people are already getting the new notes in millions, without getting to the bank like we ordinary citizens are queuing and yet not getting the new notes?
Is there no policies since all this years for CBN governor to advise and seeks for backing of FG to improve our economy?
Why are some banks like Jaiz and Muslim related ATM are dispensing the new notes and why others aren't?
Let me tell you won't be surprised that almost the vote buyers already have the new notes and that's why larger percentage of ordinary Nigerians were suffering out there to collect the notes.

This cbn policy is more of political policy which is targeted to retrieve money from nigerian thieves not monetary policy to ameliorate the suffering of the masses, prepare an enabling environment for business to strive well, this is poor implementation and policy not properly targeted towards positive effects

You can blame Emeifele for mopping up excess liquidity in one swoop instead of having say a policy four year review or shorter periods. However I see him as patriotic and noble for stemming the amount excess cash outside the banking system which means the CBN has lost control to moneybags. It will be a disaster for the CBN to have allowed this continue. Each bank had had a quota of branch bank allocated by the CBN within the fiscal space unless the CBN dropped the ball in implementing it's rural and branch banking policy by oversight of the banking system.

This is the best policy so far and this is the best time to implement them.
You know our country is like the coming of the kingdom of God that came with voulence.

First, what are the reasons of this policy? 1. Control of the country found. 2 to bring out the country cash flow that some few people has held captive luck up in soakaway. 3 for on used cash to be kept in ban and reduce liquidation.
