    I’ve always thought the Browns should have hired Greg Williams and kept Freddie Kitchens as offensive coordinator there was something about that team that looked like they were going the right direction they all seem to click.Freddie did a good job with Baker as a rookie especially for never being a coordinator before.

    • @someperson8151
      @someperson8151 16 дней назад +2

      Ernie Zampese was the real instrument of Baker's success. He's the guy who studied Baker's college tapes and made the offense comfortable for Baker in his rookie year. Because how petty the Cleveland organization is, it's a disease that is spread organizationally, Kitchens felt threatened with Zampese's presence and fired him. Zampese should have been promoted from QB coach to offensive coordinator.

      I think that was Kevin Stefanski sabotaging the process once Paul DePodesta told him that the offense needs to change in order to be more explosive. So he hired the guy that would make the offense ineffective.

      @@keithgreer462Because stefanski isn't the problem with most of the teams problems. He has his shortcomings and has gotten better at them. He isn't the reason the team sucked this year. AB is going to be taking the blame on the team struggles until Watson is gone. He is eating up half the cap and sucks. AB and the owner are gonna take all that credit. Plus we can't keep firing coaches every time we have a bad season. No other team that's good does that.

    • @StevenC32

      @ Next year they will run out of people to blame. They will probably trade for Kirk Cousins, and Kevin Stefanski will take the play calling back, but when they fail again, he will not have a scapegoat.

And his trades for players like coop and jeudy and signings like clowney and smith and hicks... he's a good GM. Dude got guys like Delpit, JOK, Hall, Emerson, Jones (was hurt and forced on the left side this year but when on the right did great), Ford (has been a great #2), and lets all be fucking honest Newsome was great until Emerson came in. "ALL THE COACHES Are Responsible For Developing The Players". Browns Go from a Playoff Team to a 3-14 record, with primarily the same team? Stefanski is the Head Coach, who can only Coach a Pocketpasser System., thats why Dorsey was brought in to try and Coach #4. An Offensive "Mobile QB" system change Stefanski couldn't adjust the team to... also bad O-line blocking, penalties, etc . Ultimately, the Head Coach responsibility.

  • @gb3346
    @gb3346 16 дней назад +2

    I love how all of this disfunction not just this year but since Stefanski got here is blamed on everyone else BUT Stefanski. What other head coach gets these kinds of results and doesn't get any of the blame. Every quarterback in the last 5 years has eventually looked the same when they play under Stefanski. Teams have figured out how to play against him. The decision to hire this player or coach or get rid of them falls on the HEAD COACH. Vrabel running the O-Line has nothing to do with Ken Dorsey but has everything to do with Stefanski allowing it. EVERY THING that happens, good or bad falls USUALLY on the head coach. Why are we giving suggestions on who they can bring in to run this or that. THAT'S THE HEAD COACHES JOB! I actually root for Stefanski and wish he would succeed, but all of our disfunction should fall squarely on Stefanski. Just like when Myles Garrett smacked Mason Rudolph upside the head with his helmet and got suspended, I ultimately blame Kitchens for the lack of discipline of the entire team. So many players we let go go on to teams that win super bowls or are on playoff teams. We contort ourselves into knots to NOT look at Stefanski for all of these decisions. We should have hired Belichick. Since that's no longer a possibility, I say we give Jim Swartz the reigns.

But I almost expect them to try and bring Klint Kubiak and Derek Carr here. Will it work? Doubtful. And that's the problem. What vet QB is good enough to save your job? And no rookie top of the draft outside of QB makes a significant difference. I'm torn but if they brought Klint, Care and drafted Sanders, at the very least we have idea of who can be here in the future. And if they get 6-8 wins that's enough for me to keep KS around to develop sanders and see how year 2 goes.

    This is a lot like a person being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and the doctor treating it by amputating both of their legs. Yes, Ken Dorsey and Andy Dickerson were terrible and they deserved to be fired, but the rot starts at the top. The Haslams put a failed former baseball executive in charge of planning their strategy. The GM makes personnel decisions based on spreadsheets of data and not on game tape, and the head coach empowers the players to lead themselves and the team ends up having no leadership whatsoever. Nothing will ever change with the Browns until the Haslams hire competent football people and then they let them do their jobs. Period.

  • @rickzwolinski
    @rickzwolinski 15 дней назад

    Richardfratus, the critical decision came about in 2012 when Haslam purchased the team and has gone on a bender of making desperation moves, one after another. If the Browns had hired Dan Campbell to be theire coach he would have been fired after his first or second season because he didnt win right away. All the moves come about due to desperation and lack of basic common sense and hard work in finding smart knowledgeable professionals

    The thing that gets me is, why didn't Kevin Stefanski let Ken Dorsey call the plays for Watson if he was brought here for Watson? Then when Winston plays, Stefanski lets Dorsey call the plays 🤔🤔 Not that it mattered which one of them were calling the plays 😂😂 is it possible that neither one is great?

  • @keithgreer462
    @keithgreer462 16 дней назад +4

    Seriously what is this protection of Stefanski??? To say Stefanski should be the play caller is straight foolish😂 😂 why do we blame everyone except Stefanski??? Because he's a good looking white guy??? 3.5 million a year to get out coached and destroy all of our Quarterbacks?

    • @ScottCleve33
      @ScottCleve33 16 дней назад

      Because the offense went to $hit under Dorsey. Stefanski had many more injuries last year and still managed to score points and win games as well as make the playoffs.
      I can't help but wonder why Stefanski would be blamed for the complete incompetence of Dorseys offense.

      @racksblue11 wrong. This entire season was Dorseys offense. Only the play caller changed. Also much of the play calling was from Dorseys play calling sheet even though Stefanski was the one actually calling the plays in.

      I doubt it. I belive that Dorsey was brought in to open up the offense. Not because of Watson. I still believe that Watson is the starting QB going into next season. I doubt that they like any of these QBs in the draft to use a top three on them. I do believe that they trade/sign another QB that c can compete with Watson for the starting job however if Watsons healthy I belive he starts.

    lol The Browns stink because they don't have a QB. The only 2 people that need and deserve to be fired is the owner JIMMY and his lackey Berry. The only reason they both are still here is unfortunately one happens to own the team, as they conspired together and were as a unit the 2 top reasons for the Watson fiasco. Birds of a feather love to flock together. Get rid of these 2 clowns and you fix 90% of the problem with the Browns

    Was Dorsey good? No. Was he given play calling duties after an awful start and the offense looked like trash? Yes. He was the scapegoat all season long and everyone pointed the finger at him. KS is constantly getting bailed out and shielded from any type of blame for what? 2x coach of the year? What did that get us? 1-2 in the playoffs and 40-44 in the regular season? This whole thing from the top down in the franchise just wreaks dysfunction. Rumors or truth but Dickerson not coaching, KS lack of creativity, game management, hiring of coordinators. Everyone says he has no control over what's happening, no input on the roster which I personally find hard to believe if that is the case you are willing to risk your future, your job and reputation on a horrible depth chart outside of a few key players. Berry has had a few good picks but also more bad than good. The signing of Watson will go down as THE WORST trade of all time. Sure hindsight is 20/20 but we are living in the aftermath of it. That gamble alone should cost him his job. Now we are slated for a top 3 pick and Berry still at the helm with this Depodesta guy who does absolutely nothing but has input on everything. At the end of the day this organization remains a joke. The fans deserve so much better for what we have sat through since they came back.
