Thanks for the straightforward demonstration guys, I recently got my IR-2 and I love it, but you clearly showed its capabilities. It’s a no brainer to add this to the end of your pedalboard. Boss rules!
This pedal is awesome. Use it infront of my pedalboard and the modulation+time based fx after but connected to the fx loop. In this setup I can easily turn on/off the amp or cab, defends on live PA setup.

Awesome amp run through with IR-2, thanks! This IR-2 with the FX Loop is a more useable preamp than the Kat 50 for those of us that only use reverb. And a little cheaper too.
I ordered one from Long & McQuade in Hamilton Ontario Canada in February. It is back ordered until April…but you need to deposit half. Still waiting, but hopeful.

Great demo!! This convinced me to get it. That Strat sounds terrific! Know what kind of pickups are in it?
The pickups are a pre wired hot noiseless set!! They’re amazing!!!
My favourite gag is putting my current unit into an empty large cab head and doing likewise with my speaker unit behind the grill cloth of an empty 4x12 famous cab, -brings the house down around my strictly tube amp head mates every time, including other amp purists, I've been doing it for 2 years already for a laugh and this little puppy is on my radar likewise when stocks arrive.
Not once did you let the sound just fade away, this is an important test for any amp or sim.
Great sounding pedal, but I hate that you can only store two presets. And what speaker do you recommend running with this for live use? A FRFR like a Headrush?
That’s a good point… if it could save presets, the IR-200 would become obsolete!! Ha ha ha. I use a Bose L1 system at live gigs and it sounds amazing… I have another friend that uses a single JBL eon 15 inch powered speaker and it sounds amazing too! Hope that helps!!
..and it is difficult/impossible, cumbersome at best, to save presets. Educate and train me or I will leave it hiding away collecting dust where it has been since after a couple days of frustration with it. I hate it with a passion.

There's something funny in the treble that makes chawk chawk chawk sound in high gain rather than chunk chunk chunk. That's the one thing that modeling that needs to be worked out. Things are getting better thankfully, but even with the IRs, there's something unnatural sounding. Nails on a chalkboard....
You can get rid of that brown pedal - it interferes with that awesome IR-2

These guys are class acts. They are actually showing a very reasonably priced Klon clone if you're into that. Many are but it reacts well with the IR-2 i think
It's golden shïtz colour, not brown😅
It sounds like it takes it well at low gain settings, which is how you would use it.
High gain on the ir2 plus the overdrive pedal is a good example of how too much distortion can diminish the sound of a recording. .. notice the guy playing felt rockin when the gain was doubled up, but the guy listening noticed the loss of clarity.
Another thing the ir2 takes well is volume adjustments on the guitar.
If your going to dare put a pedal into it, then at least put a Wampler Triumph or Phenom into it duh!

Yeah, but I think they all just expected us to put our reverbs and delays after the Iridium in the pedal chain…
