  • Killer Mike made headlines after an emotional speech in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis. Protests and rioting in cities across the US followed.
    In Atlanta, at the height of the demonstrations, the rapper Killer Mike - the son of an Atlanta policeman - addressed protesters calling for calm and urging them to go home. His speech went viral around the world.
    We look at his life and career, hearing from close friends, community activists and the rapper's manager, to find out what led to his impassioned, and at times tearful, plea for peace.

    That one chick is putting words in his mouth. He didn't say dont protest, he said dont burn your home to the ground in anger. He was talking about setting things on fire while in a hyper emotional state, not just go home and wait till November

    Wow, one need only see the entire 6 minute or so actual speech to see how he's being misrepresented.
