Every gymnast has their “thing” and Suni Lee is one of those gymnasts that’s so fluid on the uneven bars. It’s beautiful! I cannot wait to see what she does in the Olympic trials.
I'm proud that her coaches are pacing her correctly and having her focus on beam and bars. Though I'd love her for to go for AA, it's amazing that they're prioritizing her health instead of forcing last minute upgrades like we've seen so many times in the past, and have it end in injury. She's still going to be a HUGE asset on beam and bars, I hope she's able to medal in both.
I would LOVE to watch her do Nastia Liukin bar routine. She scored over a 17 in 2008 when she did that routine. Her dad and her said it took her a year to learn the routine and that he created for her.
Totally phenomenal:) you always have it together even under immense stress so yeah you’ve got this :) I can’t actually even score this ……. Too much going on :) but amazing work that pushes the boundaries of the sport :)
this would be her ideal routine for the olympics: full twisting layout jaeger nabieva + bhardwaj + van leeuwen straddled jaeger + pak salto + maloney + gienger giant 1/1 + full twisting double tuck
She hasn't showed great consistency on her full twisting Jaeger and hasn't been able to catch it regularly so I'm not sure she will want to risk it at Trials? Let's see 😊
I felt that Suni's routine during the U.S. championships had a lot of very hard moves and connections already. It was just really, really short. I heard someone say it was half of her full routine, and I think it's probably more than half (more like 70%), but I don't think it's inconceivable that her "upgrades" would simply be a couple of add-ons to the beginning or to the end. She doesn't need more difficulty in any particular move. She needs more moves.
On the 6.7D potential routine, she wouldn't get credit for the Toe Full due to the 3 Toe-on skill limit (Nabs, VL, and Maloney). So she would still get the CV though?
@@erinm9445 That's an interesting question - I think you're right but I wonder if this ever has happened in a competition. I'd say the composition requirement isn't met too. CV, there's no question though... she would not get it
@@ae2948 Yes, a toe-full fulfills the pirouette requirement. But only three toe-on moves are allowed in the routine. If you do a fourth toe-on move, the fourth skill isn't counted at all. So with the routine construction shown in the video for a 6.7, the toe full wouldn't be counted, so she couldn't get CV or DV from it, nor could she count it for fulfilling the pirouette requirement. At least I think that's how it works, not 100% sure.
I'm thinking for trials after this combo she's going to go straddle jaegar + pak + maloney + gienger and her toe full + full- in dismount. I wouldn't be surprised if she has a more difficult set planned for the games. I hope she's going to do her Jaegar full at the games.
I was thinking that was the plan for Event Finals. I think she'll play it safe with 6.6 until then. If she does do the Lee, it will make her difficulty score to 7.0. Gold medal worthy routine!
I never get bored watching Suni on bars, even if she makes a miatake. She literally makes magic in the air every single time. ❤❤❤

Her bars are just fluid, effortless looking and have some of the most satisfying transitions to watch
GREAT WORK SUNI LEE!!!! YOU HAVE THIS ONE!!!!

SUNI UR SO STRONG AND TALENTED!!!!❤
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO DO FOR UR INCREDIBLE ROUTINES ✨️
PARIS 2024 HERE SUNI COMES ❤
Esp since she has had 2 different kidney issues and one Dr told her she would never do gymnastics again. That girl is amazing❤❤
These are fantastic
Wow that is a great combo.
Nabs + Bhardwaj + van Leeuwen combo makes me feisty
Nice job, Suni Lee.

She really works on her swing !!
this would be her ideal routine for the olympics:
full twisting layout jaeger
nabieva + bhardwaj + van leeuwen
straddled jaeger + pak salto + maloney + gienger
giant 1/1 + full twisting double tuck

@@WorldGymnasticsMemories i’m excited to see what she will compete at trials!
@@WorldGymnasticsMemoriesshe should risk it at bars finals
My ideal routine composition for Suni:
“Lee” + pak + maloney + gienger
jeager + bhardwaj + VL
Toe full + FTDT
3.8 + CV: 0.9 + DB: 0.2 = 6.9
She hasn’t competed any stalder skills since 2018. There has to be a reason to it. I don’t think she will bring it back
Suni please implement that full twisting Jaeger
I hope she does the lee, she waited so long for this, but I understand if she chooses another path at this moment

I hope she tries "the Lee", to get it named after her.
Este singura gimnasta americanca care imi place!
Suni is just absolutely STELLAR! My fave gymnast by far! That Nabs+bhard+van is soooooooo amazing!
If she makes the games, she'll do an easier routine for prelims/team finals. If she makes an EF Spot, she'll go for the lee.
Yep.
I wonder if she is still training/plans to debut her new skill, or whether will go with these combos (potentially safer option).
On the 6.7D potential routine, she wouldn't get credit for the Toe Full due to the 3 Toe-on skill limit (Nabs, VL, and Maloney). So she would still get the CV though?
She just can't do that routine I don't think, because I believe then she wouldn't fulfill the pirouette requirement since the toe-full wouldn't count.
i don't think she would get cv either bc the toe 1/1 wouldn't count at all
@@erinm9445 That's an interesting question - I think you're right but I wonder if this ever has happened in a competition. I'd say the composition requirement isn't met too. CV, there's no question though... she would not get it

Maybe she can switch the Jaeger for the "Lee" and get .4 more? 🤷🏽

Likely routine:
Nabieva+bhardwaj (attempt connection into VL but likely very inconsistent)
VL
Jaeger+pak+maloney+geinger
Full pirouette
Ftdt
That's what I'm thinking too, which is basically identical to the 2021 routine. Would that routine be worth the same?
@@singsongeric from 6.8 in 2021 to 6.5 in 2024. The likely routine is 6.4
