Patterns with 2D drawings, sketches. Patterns for 2D sketches are not available in Solid Edge 'Synchronous' mode. However, it is available in the 'Ordered' mode. Note: A Part can be changed from Synchronous to Ordered during editing.
Solide Edge 2023 behaved very strangely and crashed several times with this project. Having not any PDF or illustration of this piece, I had to review dozen of times the tutorial to remember the quotes. However at the end, you forgot the small lip on the front side of the conical gear, which is clearly visible in the beginning of the video. I added a 60mm Circle, extruded by 4mm, then a 2mm fillet.
I used SE version 2023. Thank you. This was a challenge. I didn't have to hold down CTRL key to make the rotation of the gear profile. SE 2023 has a button to specifically request a copy. So, it was easier not to have press and time the CTRL press. Thank You.
Your way of Explanation is also very nice. Got to learn few things. Sir can you teach us how to install Standard parts library in solid edge if we have its CD on hand.
Thank you very much for this wonderful video, I was waiting for anything like this with complex feature to get learned. Keep Updating us. Waiting for more videos from your side.
Thank you very much for your videos! Can you please make another LAB 14 video using Solid Edge 2023? It seems there are a lot of differences iin projections and rotating projections .
@@drmseif Hi again and thank you for your answer. I understood the problem I got. I was using the ordered modelling (that is the default in SE 2023 community edition) and not the synchronous one, so it wasn't a matter of version. Thank you again for your help and to share with us your knowledge. Nino

Ha, ha... Did anyone ever notice that the Dr.'s finished gear set is wrong to the original? The first gear's teeth rotation is in the opposite direction. Sigh. Glad this wasn't real. Eh?
Editing it in sections to correct for the wrong gear direction was a challenge. But, well worth the effort. I feel more comfortable with the gear creation, rotation, and loft feature now. And can better see how to correct the induced sketch errors resulting from the changes required. Had to delete the protrusion/extrusion/loft. Then, restore the required sketches. Next, determine correct tooth profiles to select for the proper gear rotation result. Generate the new loft. Re-extruding the keyed hole throughout. Finalized with deleting strange induced sketch artifacts. Whew...

anxiously waiting for ur mail ans !!!
Done, check your email.
Nice stuff. Rotating a gear 30 deg as done in the last step results in the same position, as mentioned. So what is the purpose of this action?
hi seif i am unable to find our mail conversation, though i have have done this lab after a lot of efforts ( abt 3 days ) !!

P.S. The Dr. did not finish the sketch, when he declared he was finished. Sigh...
