My favorite thing about this scene: from this point on it's a running gag that people use clayman as an estimate how powerful demonlords are and as a result get completely overwhelmed by every other demonlord and their subordinates😂

Clayman was a strategist, not a fighter.
But he should've had better recon on Rimiru's true power, instead of assuming all his feats were due to Veldora and others.
Rule #1 in warfare is, know your enemy. Recon, surveillance, and spies should've let him known not to F with King Rimiru, Supreme Ruler of the powerful Jura Tempest Federation.

It turns out that Milim is so OP it is just a game for her, Steven and Veldora knew it.
Spoiler:
Throughout the whole anime, Rimuru looked badass when meeting new people. But Rimuru is everytime way weaker:
- episode 1: the bodyguards of Eren could have demolished Rimuru easy diff. Those 2 bodyguards are actually one of the 10 strongest in Thalion
Episode 3: King Gazel is as strong as Hinata easy diffs Rimuru in episode 3-5
And the list goes on and on
So, by this logic.
Was Clayman stronger than Rimuru?
Not how it works.
On the first episodes of the first season rimuru wasnt nearly as strong as he is now.
Before becoming a demon lord he was quite stronger than when he met gazel and after becoming a demon lord he became 10 times stronger.
