I've just been watching your videos because I've had phobias of snakes for years. I had three pretty tramatic experiences one after the other with snakes when I was about 10. It got to the point where I couldn't even see pictures without having a small panic attack. I don't like being controlled, especially by fear, and decided to take action. It's been hard to ease snakes back into my life slowly, but your channel has helped so so much! You easy calm nature while handling, even bitey or scared, snakes as done wonders for me. Along with your respect and appreciation for these animals. Thank you so much! I can't express just how much it means to me.

YES! I've been looking for one of the neon red sided garters, but garter snakes are really hard to find from breeders. I guess because they aren't as "exotic" and "cool" but I don't care, they are my favorite snakes.
Aaaaah! I've wanted one so bad, but garters are illegal to keep where I live :( but bc of that, I got Milkshake the milk snake and he's the best snake ever (btw he just reached 4ft!!!)
@@jewelminess bc they count as a native species, and the laws here are against keeping native species as pets, to keep people from taking from the wild. I wish it was just laws against wild caught instead of native species in general :(
