    Impressive! I just finished building my own snowplow for my Defender HD10. I've tried it in a mere 3 inches of snow. Can't wait to get more!

    Is that a cub cadet oem stock plow? If it is, maybe I’ll try that before putting on a $5000.00 Western hydraulic V-Plow.

      It's actually a Denali Pro, right around $1000.00 when I got it.

    i have the 500 and i just finished plowing what i could do with it and it did not like it, i was doing two inches every 2 hours yesterday and that was fine, at around 11 there was 8 inches down and it did not like it. i was at the end of my lane and as i was lifting the plow it drew too much power and stalled. i had to take the battery out and charge it (its about two years old now). it could not push that snow, i just have to remember and have to just keep up with the snow next time

    • @SteeveeDan
      @SteeveeDan  3 года назад

      Mine has stalled once or twice when rising the plow, but always when it's cold. I let it warm up for 10 minutes or so and then it doesn't happen. So far, knock wood, I haven't had an issue with the battery.

    • @jtraveny
      @jtraveny 3 года назад

      @@SteeveeDan i also do have a light bar on it too and now instead of the normal beeping for the turn signals and the flashing its just a solid beep and i don't think they are working, so i might need to look into why its not working, this was after i took the battery out and charged it and put it back in, maybe i knocked the relay loose

    How did you like the challenger 500 you had? I have the 700 thinking about upgrading to the 750, what your thoughts

    • @SteeveeDan
      @SteeveeDan  2 года назад

      I really liked the 500, plowed well. I took it Arizona with me and decided to sell it out there before I came back east. It was worth more money in the desert than on the east coast. The 750 definitely has more power than the 500 did especially noticeable on steep inclines and plowing heavy wet snow. Never was in a 700 so I really can't offer and useful comparable info, sorry. But the bottom line on the 750 is I really like it other than a few small annoying issues like the seat coming apart, rust forming on the steering wheel, and the u-joint noise if they aren't kept what I consider, over greased.

    Awesome video! You got a heck of a driveway. Looks like it does good work. I saw someone elee recommended chains. Probably not necessary but definitely add weight. Other than that, looks like fun!

      Thanks for the comment! Yes, my drive can be challenging but it actually is fun and I enjoy the Cub too. Next snow we get, I'll be adding weight to see what happens.

  • @240zzz
    @240zzz 3 года назад +2

    Get some duro excavator tires and put 200lbs of ballast on board. 100 in the bed and 100 in the passenger floorboard, it will push that snow with no effort.

    SO how is it going with your cub? Mine is broke again, 400 hours and this is the second time my timing chain fell off. Clutch needs rebuilding also. Another 1500 bucks, these hisun motors are junk.

      Sorry to hear this. Not sure if I'm lucky or if the only people that post on my videos are those that have had problems. So far, mine has been fine except for the steering wheel rust, the drivers side seat is tearing, and the need to grease the driveshaft u-joints quite frequently. Hope you have better luck with yours in the future and thank you for your post.
