Reign the GERMAN SHEPHERD'S BEST FRIEND, HOLLY, COMES HOME AFTER SURGERY. July 10th, 2024

Reign's best friend, Holly, was spayed today. Holly has just come home from the vet and is settling down in her recovery crate. Poor kitty Holly looks pitiful and sore. Because Holly is a rather wild little flying monkey, she will require some recovery time in a crate to stop her from climbing the curtains, vaulting from the curtain pole, and swinging from the light fixtures. Sigh...
Reign has rolled through on her wheels, given Holly a lick, then rolled away again - seemingly content that Holly is okay.

Reign is my German Shepherd support dog that needs a spinal decompression surgery. She was first diagnosed with IVDD Type II (Slow onset) on October 6th 2023, but she then relapsed with acute IVDD on May 11th 2024. I am exhausting all avenues to try to save Reign's life, but so far I have found no financial support to fund her surgery and I fear I am losing the battle.
To make matters more challenging, I also have a degenerative spinal disease so I cannot support her weight of over 60 pounds with a sling. Reign is therefore completely reliant on her Walkin' Wheels wheelchair. There is very little information out there on how to manage large breed dogs with IVDD. This is my journal on Reign's progress and I hope that this might help others!
