    I love the shrike! Outside our office we’d get about 2 dozen sparrows that would migrate in for the winter. Our local shrike soon learned to drive them into the large office windows and stun them. The shrike would land and snap their neck. And with great difficulty fly off and sun dry them on a cholla thorn or barb wire. In a week a single shrike would wipe out all the sparrows. And the shrike would have a food supply for the winter.

    In some states of Mexico there is a species of bird with the same characteristics, they call it "Verdugillo". It tends to nail its prey in magueys and cactus plants.

    An eagles beak isnt the killing part, its comparatively weak, the talons do the killing, a parrots beak is conversely a force to be reckoned with

    The US Navy developed the AGM-45 anti-radiation missile. It was designed to acquire and guide-on signals radiating from RADAR stations and destroy them. I know now why they’re called a ‘Shrike’ air to ground missile. Pretty cool.

    i thing these birds are smaller so they can be more difficult by humans to captured But eagles much larger and easier to capture..

    I had one on a dead deer pile...reported it to the DNR. They are endangered in Michigan. I set up a go pro and it was confirmed. This bird was also snatching Chickadees off our feeders. Very interesting bird.

    Those sharp objects killing early humans? After revisiting the bodies with newer, cooler science, scientists came to the conclusion that it was mostly sharp teeth, and the apparent most dangerous thingy around back then were animal predators, not humans.
    We have been much more peaceful than we thought for the last few decades.
    Also: Not moving and fainting gets you the same outcome, so one not developing from the other cant be made as a case as you did, especially since you contradicted yourself later on.
    Otherwise its a good video as always^^

      I can understand; but sometimes( well, alot, really, but not enough to cause fainting) humans would fight for females, shelter,food,etc. Like some animals in a way, we do play dead. It's like having a mini war but non-tech or no guns with arrows, spears, etc.

      Seeing every "conflict" (i think even this is a strong word) as a war is possible, but not encouraged, as it relativizes the true scale of actual wars and other physical conflicts.
