omg i relate to growing up with the tv on to make sleeping easier. i couldn’t sleep in the dark until i moved in with my partner and finally felt safe enough at night to sleep in the dark. but when she’s gone i go back to having the tv on lol

For anyone struggling with anxiety: something that I learned in Therapy is a grounding technique. When you’re anxious and feel so overwhelmed, close your eyes and mentally lost 5 things you head, 5 things you feels, maybe open your eyes and 5 things you can see. It grounds you to your senses and can help in the moment a little easier. It won’t solve your problems, but can slow the anxiety. Also for anyone struggling with anxiety/depression: NO FEELING IS FINAL. this WILL pass. It may come back, it IT WILL pass again. Be kind to yourself. ☀️

i love when you film in the gym!🩷 what you do in the gym is awesome des! a little tip from a non-gatekeeping gym girlie: if you control your reps and do them slower on the way down and also keep your elbows still, you will see AMAZING progress! not criticizing you at all because what you do is great! i just wanted to send some advice from what my dad has taught me over the years and i don’t want you getting hurt😊

I have been in a book hangover after reading the best book of my year so far…The Betrayal of Thomas True is a genre bending book that absolutely blew my mind and hits all the feels. For those who have a great love of London and the UK and looking in to its history then this is the book for just everyone. This has a deep lgbtq+ rep and my goodness it is truly the best book I have read so far this year

Also for another drink idea other than water you could brew unsweetened iced tea! It’s been my go to. I’ll drink 26oz of water, switch to 26oz of unsweetened iced tea to have a less bland drink, and then have more water 💛

hey des! just wanted to tell you i'm also an anxious girlie, for the last two weeks i stopped any type of caffeine intake. right now, i don't drink coke, coffe or tea. and i feel so much less anxiety. at the beginnig of june, i had my finals for my chemical engineering freshman year, while i was studying i drank too much drinks that had caffeine in it and i couldn't even sleep. you should try it!
