I never tought about it, this game did so much for Big Boss, you get to see his personality shine trough these little codec calls and cutscenes, he even comes across as charming.

FYI, smoke grenades are op once you get the hang of how they work. I also missed most of my throws at first though. It felt like a large learning curve. I find it fun to watch how different players try to solve the challenges in different MGS games. Peace Walker has a number of different options for players to approach most missions, so there's not only one preferred way or only one viable option if you understand how the game mechanics work. I'm really enjoying your playthrough! You're very thorough and detailed, which matches what these series emphasize.

You don't need to slowly sneak up on enemies to hold them up. You can just run up behind/beside them and use CQC (hold R1 while moving) then hold them up while they're on the ground. Enemies in this game have very short vision so you can move around more freely.

For god´s sake Whimsy, your skills on MGS are on fire. Walking and shooting and everything GG When using non lethal weapons, you dont need to always go for the head shot. You can hit the soldier anywhere and just wait a little for him to go to sleep. I know its a little contra intuitive, but some times its the best aproach (like, vs the helmets). Its realy effective when you got 2 guys next to each other (shot one on the leg, and make aim on the head for the 2nd one, then shot when the 1st one fall) Also, man, its funny how you surrender a soldier going by his side (almost front) and then laugh at him cause he is a "E" rank And dude, those soldiers sure dont give a fuck about smoke grenades exploding everywhere

Thank you so much for the tips, I'll try that, it's just that I don't like when they go into kind of an alert mode when I aim in their limbs and they don't sleep instantly. Maybe it's a good trade off though for helmet soldiers.
@WhimsyPsyche if you hit then in the limbs they dont go on alert, they just suspect, like when they hear your footsteps or see you from far away. They enter alert if they see the shot, when you miss it (and hit a wall nearby) , if the shot hit other soldier when they are looking, or if you do another shot when they are already suspecting. You come a long way from snaping Merys neck to discover you can grab soldiers lol but you are doing great. Holding all the tank soldiers stealtly are one of the badasses things i ever saw in metal gear

Also, you can upgrade any recruited soldiers' ranks by doing off stream missions playing as them instead of snake. Basically, you can make a rank E a rank S if you wanted to. ⚠️One last tip: When you are managing Mother Base, if you press triangle button on the some main characters like Amanda for example you can view a 3D model of them. 👀

You don’t have to worry about the weight of your equipment and weapons. It makes absolutely no difference 😃
At 1:03:00 you're struggling hard, you can change the camera from right to left while aiming by using the shoulder buttons if I can remember well
to be fair, she could've also just used the smoke as cover for snake instead of trying to aim and cover them in smoke

As others have said you should definitely replay the nuke truck mission and check the other trucks. Theres someone thats worth recruiting.
