And real. Metallica and Megadeth were more into becoming stars really without any disrespect to their music. Most of their songs are deeper written than Overkill(Overkill is basically recorded jams). But yes Overkill is steady and you know what to expect. Sodom are up there also.
I saw Overkill at this really small dive in FT Lauderdale some years back and it was awesome being so close to him. He's just a genuine guy who happens to be a badass 🤣
I can confirm hes into hanging with the people. I saw them many... many years ago at a club in Connecticut. After the show Bob left his tour bus, came over and had a few beers with us in the parking lot of the place. Good dude.

Since we’re sharing.....saw them couple,years ago in Jersey...I’m right up front fist in air...the smoke on stage...can’t see em but know they’re about to open up...all of a sudden....out of the smoke blitz grabs my fist, the song starts and I head bang with one of the baddest frontmen of metal for about 20 seconds....I’m looking over while banging at my bud who’s just enjoying the scene. Was a fan of his before that, etched in immortality afterwards. Just a guy that connects and knows no ego and knows who butters his bread. Respect to the fans is second to none. Now DD on the other hand...we’ll, he’s a little more....abrasive...but MAN can he strum deep thunder on that bass!
@Fuck You I'm a Jelly Bean I totally get that they're not for everyone especially the vocals are like an acquired taste but yeah that's probably one of their best albums all around give it a chance with an open mind!
I'm sad I'm just getting into this guys now. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as they're still making music. As soon as I get a job I'll be spending money on their merch and hopefully I'll get to see them live someday!

Overkill has proven many times over that they are doing perfectly fine without Gustafson. What’s Bobby G done lately? Oh yeah that 3rd rate Satans Taint band that doesn’t even remotely compare to all the great albums Overkill has done over the last few decades. Overkill is Blitz and DD, not Bobby Gustafson. Deal with it
