I have had several prima Ds, although not as popular as a Lambretta are virtual the same ,had a Prima V star from 1961 to 64 including throughout the worst winter on record excellent reliable machines, your example looks very good,Original seats may have made it more as original, thanks foe an entertaining blog
Thanks for the message, Colin, that sounds like some experience! The chromework and zinc plating for this Prima is now complete and looks amazing. I'll have another video along in the coming weeks. Thanks for watching.
Hi, I just came accross your video. Very informative to someone who has never had any experience working on bikes. I did a video myself of an NSU PrimaD restoration, but I am not a mechanic AND i sold it without doing the engine. Have you done the engine yet as I have a Prima iiik engine to do. I have back problems , but i'm determined to tackle the engine. I'm in Ireland. Tom Cahill
Thanks for the message, Tom! I'm currently getting the welding and chrome prep finished and will be putting out an engine disassembly episode followed by an assembly one after that. I'd really like to have things move along faster, but some things cannot be rushed. Stay tuned. And fair play to you for tackling your own engine. 👍
your 3 vidéos are brilliants! I also have a prima D to restore,do you have issues for ignition? willi you open cylinder? do you have fb?I'd glad to speak about this vehicule, regards,William
Hello, William, stay tuned as there will be another Prima video coming soon. Great to hear you have one too. The ignition on this bike seems Ok... and we will definitely be going on an adventure inside this engine!
Many thanks for a interesting video. I am just getting back to biking and I am thinking of buying a two stroke bike like the lambretta ld 150, nsu prima III or V or honda shadow 90 cc. I have only experience of two strokes from the time I used to drive Moped. Would you reommend it for a longer distance?
Hey there, thanks for the comment. Some of the earlier videos had some... interesting music choices for sure... but the general feedback I get is people like a musical respite from having to listen to me.
@@lectroman That's a very kind comment indeed, thank you! I'll take that into consideration. I'm always trying to tweak and adjust the videos for maximum efficiency, as much as the machinery!
I had an NSU Prima in the '60s and I loved it, very nippy and great to ride.
That's great to hear, thanks! Hopefully we'll be saying the same about this one when it's ready. 🤞💪

Enjoyed that! learning loads. Looking forward to the next instalment.
It's well underway. George Lucas would be proud.
I have one in similar process, can't wait to see Your progress and learn from it! Fingers crossed for great result!
Great! Keep the eyes peeled for an episode this weekend!

I won't know until I have it all in one piece again... Stay tuned, we will depart on this NSU journey and see where it takes us!
Existen repuestos para restaurar una ? Saludos
Dedos cruzados! 🤞
I like your videos but please drop the music. It’s terrible and adds nothing.

@@techshebeen Fair enough, however the ASMR aspects of workshop noises and your easy listening voice far outweighs any background music IMHO.
