The PushPull command in AutoCAD is a powerful tool used primarily for editing 3D solid objects. It allows users to extend, shrink, or create new 3D solids by pushing or pulling on a face of an object. This command is particularly useful for creating walls and other architectural elements in a 3D space.
Steps to Use the PushPull Command for Wall Creation
Start with a Closed Polyline:
Draw a closed polyline that outlines the base of your wall. You can use the PLINE command to do this.
Create a Region (Optional):
If you prefer to work with regions, convert the closed polyline to a region using the REGION command.
Extrude the Polyline:
Use the EXTRUDE command to give thickness to your polyline or region. This will create a 3D solid object that represents your wall.
Command: EXTRUDE
Select the closed polyline or region.
Specify the height of the wall.
Modify with PushPull:
If you need to adjust the height or make modifications to the wall, use the PRESSPULL command.
Command: PRESSPULL
Select the face of the 3D solid that you want to modify.
