cat intensifies honestly, if peppy decided to make osu more resilliant to unusual events that "shouldnt happen" thered be a lot less crashes and glitches. he just doesnt care about bothering to code for those things, intentionally leaving in glitch prone code because it takes work to avoid things like autofail.

It would be cool if in lazer we had support for 2b elements, like notes stacked on slider ends forcing you to tap fast or use your second finger. Say, if monstratas aspire entry was rankable, minus the impossible to ss elements.
Your test map had the last autofail note a good distance from the tail of the slider. The map you used in example with the 2b circle slider had it's last note underneath the tail.

i think the multiple sliders autofail last example is cuz the ar only goes to the time you let go of the slider at once to do the 2B part, so if you click the 2B slider that caused the fail at the right time it would work better cuz you kept going back to the slider. Spinner does not do that cuz you were technically still clicking a different slider or circle.

Honestly if 2B could be ranoed the game would completely change and imo, while it would be cool, it'd need a completely different leaderboard because it majorly changes what is considered hard and easy (also sliders should probz have end accuracy (like mania) for this to work at all)
I'm thinking that since there's rendering issues with certain sliders and spinners, you don't need to hot them but they still exsist, so once that slider or spinner triggers, it stores the hp drain that is able to load at the end, this could also explain why no fail dosnt work, because it's attempting to fail you when you can't? I dunno this is open thinking

Harald Wergeland Arles isn't really a mapping style, it's just what a user called Arles/Laphnya (though they changed their name several times now: osu.ppy.sh/u/1722835 ) calls their maps. Some other people started calling their difficulties Arles too, but they're pretty far and few between. They probably just don't care about going through the ranking process with many of the maps. Although many of the maps feature large jumps and spaced streams, there's quite a lot of variation between some of them, so it's hard to consider it one style. Just one person who mapped a ton of songs, and has their own style from which they don't always deviate.

i think its because everything in the .osu file is in a list, and if something is placed in between a slider...w-w-where do you place that thing in the list? behind it? just, cut up the slider and place a circle there?
the problem is spaghetti coding which lacks exception handling. it'll be hard for you to find the cause of this because when code isn't written in a safe manner anything could be related to an arbitrary bug or glitch. just like how two objects causes autofail but one doesn't, and how approachrate is related, it's simply the result of unsafe objects interacting with each other in ways that the programmer didn't anticipate. tl;dr it's spaghetti code and a bit of a waste of time to understand, hopefully osu!lazer won't have such issues
Hey pishi - I've been trying to get into mapping myself and I finished my first diff last weekend (a Hard diff of a short version of Routine by Silent Siren). The map is honestly not great lmao the biggest criticism I've gotten is everything is overlapped so the spacing is minimal and it feels "claustrophobic". I've tried to map the Insane diff with that in mind but I feel really troubled trying to place objects. I just don't know where to put anything on the grid. Do you have any advice? How do you decide where to put anything? Thanks.

Autofail also happens if you lag for a very brief moment, I've seen it during multiplayer rounds with my friend
