    Joel, every time you show me the lake and boat with Melissa and you, I get real jealous of the two of you. My wife and I would go fishing just like you do, except my wife died 7 years ago and now at 77, I am all by myself. I love how the two of you enjoy each other.

    Joe, We use paper towels with vanilla on them for the gnats, I always where a hat so I just hang it through the adjuster hole in the back, the rest pin on patches of towels or put some on their arms, it is a bit sticky for me, so I use the paper towels, they also say the vanilla car air fresheners around the neck on a string work too.

    A great day to be fishing. I think this has been one of your great days doing the fishing gig. (That I have seen). Joe I have only been watching your channel the last 3-4 years. I know absolutely knowing about fishing. However I see that fishing the way you all do would not be so bad. I just don't think I could cast my pole and have to wait forever for a bite. My dad enjoyed fishing but I never caught the bug. If I ever get the chance and want to splurge I would consider going on a fishing charter on the ocean. But to each his own. That is what makes this old world go around.

    Joe, just a tip I learned the hard way years ago, put a chain on the motor from a cleat through a part on the motor, making a loop incase it should come loose. I had one drop into the lake on Lake Huron in Cedarville Michigan and thankfully it was only in 5' of water, clamps worked loose. Yes I had to go swimming to retrieve it but I saved it. Cost $300 to have redone but those old Johnsons are worth it.

    • @NorthernSeclusion
      @NorthernSeclusion  Год назад +1

      There is a hole in each of the tightener handle things that you use to tighten the motor to the transom. I have a string that ties them together so they can not come undone.

Hope you keep track of the conditions, and statistics on the weather, when catching multiple fish, and where! That was a good haul of fish.....fiest tonite!!!!!! That 9.5hp, for being such an older motor, is moving you great, and running great...Joe, you should install some PVC pipe to the back of your trailer to be able to see where your trailer is behind your truck when there is no boat on there.....
