I mean overtime with all the attention and pressure and rumors n stuff it kinda affects your mental health, it’s quite difficult being is the spotlight is what most people don’t realize, to us it seems very easy but it’s not
RensSpace it’s definitely not easy but that’s when your management is supposed to help you but Modest literally treated them like cash cows and not human beings. It made an already difficult situation much more harder

I don't think Modest management destroyed any of them happiness. You have to understand show biz and the lifespan of boyband. Show biz is very short career, just like that of athletes. but let me not digress. In show biz, today someone is in and in a very short time they are out. Boyband is usually 5 years lifespan, that's why Simon was smart to offer them 5 years recording contract with the possibility of extension. The thing with boyband, no one really understand why any and every boyband fades after 5 years. it's a combination of many things. Naturally each member grows apart, one or more don't want to work with the other and sometimes they age to a certain degree that boyband membership becomes childish. 1D could have gone on to last a few more years as they didn't do the typical synchronized dancing and matchy outfits. Anyway, due to the short lifespan of the career as a band member their management was smart enough to get them popular as fast as they could. The had dolls, endorsements (Nokia, Toyota, toothpaste, cereal, everything really ), they had appearances on TV shows. Even if they were overworked, you have to see it like being in university for them. They are learning to market themselves as well as create and present their brand. The only person that seemed to have taken lessons seriously is Harry and to a small degree; Naiil. Whenever Harry puts out an album he sells it, he goes on interviews, host shows, snl, etc. The only differences now is that he dictates the extent of it. But he is already popular due to 1D that he doesn't have to do much. There are great singers, even graduates of Xfactor that hasn't enjoyed as much success as 1D has. For instance, James Authur who can out sing every member of 1D. But he isn't that known like 1D. Promotions at every opportunity and level helps market an artist as well as shape and strengthen their brand. its especially difficult for males. They cant twerk and post bikini photos like the females does to get endorsements and popularity to see themselves. I think Simon really dod a good thing for them. He let them be themselves, let them still remain the same boys that people were introduced to since their Xfactor instinct. They were young, they had the energy to cope with the grueling schedule. They made history, undeniably the best boyband in history till date and they didn't even have to dance like N'sync and Back Streer Boys. They made money too, they still have their fans that they carried on to their solo careers. I think if they had to do it all again, they would. It's just different now for them. Even though people would like to see them reunite, if they do they might ruin a good thing. I think they could reunite on a very special one off occasion like the spice girls did for the 2012 Olympics hosted by the UK. Only the smart ones know that reunions just put a dent on an already perfectly created history. There are bands that still reunite and go on tour but it's never as good as it was.

I think fans really don's see the truth behind that job, or how that business work. They want them to live in a fantasy world where nothing hurts them and everything is easy . And yes that would be nice. But this is the real world, It's about money. We have to see the reality and stop putting the blame on someone. That is how the world works.

My understanding is that Liam was trying to be funny by singing "that's what makes it enjoyable" to the theme of WMYB. However, after singing it he realised it had too many syllables, so it didn't really work out. That's why his sentence trails off. When the boys motion for him to stop it's because they were jokingly making fun of him (just messing around with each other like they always do). Niall even says "are you red yet? How red are you?" Louis says "he [referring to Liam] must be pretty embarrassed after that, I would be." So, Niall says "I'd be crying, I'd walk up them stairs." Then Zayn, being the sweetheart he is, was just trying to divert the attention by saying "nah he's cool, he's cool."
So I don't think it was a case of Liam singing a WMYB spoiler. Rather it was Liam's failed attempt at making a WMYB related joke. The boys were taking the mick out of him. But it's love at the end of the day.
Hope this helps. I could be wrong, but this was just my take on the situation.
