Princess of Mars, Flash Gordon, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Star Wars, Mad Max, Krull, He-Man.... the list goes on. Sci-fi and fantasy go hand in glove.

@@wbbartlett I never thought of Mad Max as fantasy. But I definitely see it now!

I loved this one when it came out, my fave adventure ever. I also have all the battlemaps and most of the monsters and scatter to recreate it on tabletop.

@@worldbigfootcentral3933 Did they make special battle maps for the module?

@@RichardtheDungeonCrawlerno. I'm assuming he created his own.

Never played, but DM'd it and thought it was awesome. Can't wait for my current group to get to the point they can go through it.

Sci-fi and Fantasy easily blend. It depends on if you want to play an adventure like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars.

I have never understood the issues with this adventure. It's a small instance of scifi inserted in the classic D&D world. I think most people who have an issue fail to realize that this is how the creators of D&D played their games a lot of the time. That said, it's okay to not like scifi in your games. They are, afterall, your games.
I just never thought that this one adventure ruined the D7D game or anything. Inevitably the items ran out of power, malfunctioned, or just broke down and the PCs are not going to have much of an ability to maintain or repair them. I have heard of some parties (not mine) that managed to figure out ways to leave the ship with a good supply of tech and even some robots minions, but these are unconfirmed tales and likely a rarity among most groups who played the adventure and made it out by the skin of their teeth.

@@elfbait3774 Yes. It was a tough adventure. But I enjoyed it.

Yeah, most of the parties I ran through it burned almost everything getting through it, so would leave with very little in the way of grenades, charges, etc. It's a brutal module, and generally the charged weapons get burned through like crazy especially later on.

My party is doing a 5e version set on Toril, but we haven't even hit the main part yet.
