Well, "Moira" means "destiny, share, fate" from mythology, so I personally think it's more accurate given the role of this character. If they wanted to name her "Maire", they would - other heroes have normal names, after all.

ThornLord Just like in game, comp would matter in an actual org aswell. I don't think Talon would've been able to complete a lot of missions with just people who can fight (and Sombra)they would need scientists. And it makes Talon as an org more believeable, which enriches the lore of Overwatch as a whole, instead of just the in game modes.

I used to never play Moira because I couldn’t get her mechanics down. But as soon as I found that perfect balance between healing and damage I haven’t been able to stop playing her. She is so badass on so many levels
i started to play as her during last years halloween events; just after 15 minutes of practice i was terorising the chateu guillard :D
I find her one of the best solo healers, since her healing output is pretty big and almost AoE, plus her orb, and of course, the fact she can defend herself more easily with her damage+self heal and fade. I pretty much carried two teams through Illios and Lijieng with that witch xD

Pretty much every time we have a new character released people say "They look OP" bear in mind this is the trailer for them, so of course everything you see here is the optimal situation to show off what they can do. Put her into a proper game situation, they're not going to be this powerful ALL the time
Personally I'm greatly anticipating a unique addition to the support roster as well as figuring out how to use Moira best and how to counter her effectively (Stealing health and giving to teammates was a mechanic I was hoping to see)
I think they don't remember how Ana was literally one the roof in her trailer. or how she one shotted widow maker as if she can snipe just as well as her.

To be fair, you have to have a really high IQ to main Moira, her play style is extremely subtle and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics, most of her abilities will go over a typical player's head. There's also Moira's nihilistic outlook which is deftly woven into her characterization. Her personal philosophy draws heavily from, narrowed literature, for instance. The Moira mains, they understand this stuff, they have the intellectual capacity to appreciate the depths of these voice lines to realize that they're not just funny, they say something deep about life. As a consequence, people who dislike Moira truly are idiots. Of course they wouldn't appreciate for instance, the humor in Moira's existential catchphrase, "what an interesting hypothesis". Which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic fathers and sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Jeff Kaplan's genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools, how I pity them.

To give her a distinct silhouette and movement pattern. you can tell if a reinhardts coming by clunky soldier footsteps and a big swinging hammer, you can tell when a roadhogs coming towards you due to big lumbering steps, and you can tell a mercys coming up due to her posture and her holding a staff out. With this hero you can tell shes coming by fast quietish footsteps and the naruto run.

I played her in PTR a bunch, Despite her appearance, her gameplay is crazy unique despite her looks. She kinda tosses out orbs that have a set amount of healz/damage, sprays peeps to keep them healed, then she has to worry about healing herself by sapping people (aim based btw) or orbifying herself with heals. Then she can do that warp thing, which either lets her dodge bullets or get to needy teammates for a spraying.

I kinda thought at her reveal, her orbs would be able, like her Coalescence, to heal and damage at the same time. Like for example, her natural healing has a limit unless she drains the heal from others right? If it was like that with the orb, healing to a limit but can heal more if it can drain from an enemy, then it can still heal. As much as that would be op, I'm good with her setup now.
