Ended up unable to make it due to a severe weather warning in Jersey, thanks for uploading these videos. Just curious: Is Toad’s Place out of reach for smaller/medium sized local bands? I definitely want my band to play shows in NE by next spring
Sorry you couldn’t make it. Hopefully next time! As far as Toad’s, I would say it isn’t out of reach for smaller bands but for the best show you would have to join others for a decent package of bands. Definitely other venues in the area that could fit as well. Good luck!🤘
Not only would you need to get on a bill with other bands, but, from guys I know who've played there, at least back in the day, for the smaller bands they made you buy the tickets and sell them yourselves or something to that effect. Point was you had to come up with money to play.
@@thejondohhshow It wasn't exactly that but similar. The tickets that the bands were given were color coded, so the management of the club would know who had what crowd draw and pay them accordingly. I only know that they did have to come up with money for something up front
@voiceofreason1208 interesting. I wonder what it is like in 2023? I do know this hatebreed show had a 10pm curfew so they could get everyone out, clean the place up, and then pack it again for a dance party. I would say a good night for Toad'$$$$
The Intro is "This day I fight" from our Onward to Mecca album (2004) and the song is "Anointed in Servitude" from our 1994 demo, Perpetual Degradation.
I see they finally got rid of that. Ridiculous metal barricade that used to divide the stage. Got a concussion because of that thing and had to leave Slayer/Hatebreed early.
@@thejondohhshow Yeah, I was the one dope on the over 21 side that didn't move when the straps up top finally broke. Ironically, it's the first and only concussion I ever got at a show. Sadly, it was also my last show.
Please like and share the video and subscribe to the channel if you made it this far! Thank you! ruclips.net/channel/UCIRzOW7HUFXCpMyTXEJzzZA
The intro was “this day I fight” and the first full length song was” anointed in servitude”
Thank you very much!🤘

@@voiceofreason1208 I hope "pay to play" is a thing of the past, but I don't know for sure.

Got me a black eye at this event! Akward at work!
Sometimes tough to explain the next day! Badge of honor though👊
Can anyone help with song names please?
