The most nostalgic soundtrack. This game was my childhood
my too
I got this as a pack-in game with a PC steering wheel controller. I ended up playing it far more often to listen to the music than for the gameplay. I did love the game, but I just adored the music.
And then I found out you could put it in a CD player and just listen to the music.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio I think i also had it with a Logitech wheel. Already owned it since 1998, even could go online racing with the warez version :)
Olympos made me fall in love with electronic music
Same! Even after the disk got destroyed and not being able to listen to it for years, it still popped into my head all the time until I found it today.
OMG I was looking for the soundtrack since 1998! Thank you so very much
Arguable the best soundtracks ever made for a racing game or any game for that matter. I am a bit down about losing my original Motorhead CD years ago but the sound tracks still remain. Thank you DICE for this great game, and Olof Gustafsson for these memorable tracks!
If you want I could give you my CD?
KallaMigCP give it to me man!
can you post somehow on your channel lossless m4a audio instead mp3, please or link to 320kbs; game at this time when I was only 16 was better than todays grid, but still less than Gran Turismo 2 ;D
Arguably yes. NFS 4 had a few excellent tracks from Rom Di Prisco though.
Thanks a lot! My favorite car game when I was a kid. :-)
I own you bro, this is my track when i was a child
The game felt so far ahead compared to everything else! The graphics were mind blowing, the handling was exciting, the cars were interesting (plus there were more to download from dice homepage), the music was the kind you hum for the rest of the day... and it ran on everything from P90 to P II 300, which, along with compatibility with pretty much every card on the market, let everyone enjoy this gem. Good times.
was it Pentium 2 MMX?
@@worldbestt-shirtshoodie-go6184 - yeah. While the minimum was a non-MMX Pentium 90 (1st gen) a Pentium II with MMX was highly recommended.
@@spavatch There were also MDK as I remember so Cyberpunk game tnese times and Paint Space 3D Walk like Quake, but in space, shoot & kill, do you know maybe the title? Ps. I'm Piratebay follower and hacker in Paris, you ok?
Also worked great with glide api, yeah, that was the game!
Epic music
miss this game loads played it when it first came out , played it for a long long time.....amazing game
Seriously, this game needs a remaster. It's so much fun and has one of the best soundtracks ever. I grew up playing this and have awesome memories of it. A few months ago, I tried to run it on my modern computer and it was almost impossible. I somehow found a way to have it running on Windows 11 and played for hours until I beat it. I miss so much those days, sitting on my Windows 98 PC for hours after school or on weekends late at night. I'm not joking, I almost cried playing this after so many years.
one of my favorite old racers ... thankyou so much for putting the soundtack up ... wonder if gog has this ? ... nope and steam hads a crappy psx port version :( and costs £3.99 !
My childhood.
Thank you very much! Memories...!! I loved this game so much with my Diamond 3Dfx Voodoo2
Wow, that's a callback.
I had given up trying to find this years ago because it just was not showing up anywhere. A chance encounter with a RUclips comment made me give it another go, and here it is, finally. I used to pop the game disc in my CD player just for the heck of it, because it was so good. Nowadays, not only do you not get a CD encoded sound track on your game disk, you rarely get the actual game.
Great soundtrack, kept it on my pc as .mp3 for a long time. NeoCity is my favorite.
Can it be Android emulated? somehow?
Neo city was my fave track soundtrack too holy
@@worldbestt-shirtshoodie-go6184 You can try Parsec, but good luck - this game ran best on Windows 9X, with XP being the last version to be able to reliably run it. And even then, because there was at least some expectations on what hardware a PC would have, it doesn't seem to handle modern hardware the best.
Played on PS in 1998 !!! Hello from 98th year to 2021!
Thanks a load for uploading this!
Remastered this game pls
Nice!
Good times!
I play this music on my Mustang 5.0 driving through Mojave Desert and other distant and lonely places of Nevada & Utah states ;)
Wipeout PSX, Cyberpunk 2097, Demo Scene music, back to the roots, ,D Piratebay ,D Hackers Unite 2021!
Blaizer / TBL made enitre soundtrack for this game :)
Redrock and goldbridge are my favourite .
Loved the music for this game and still do - but hated how every time the soundtrack swiched tracks while playing you'd lose control of your car for just long enough for the car to go careening out of control. I never managed to finish this game until I turned the music off...
The childhood memories. :) I love this game so much.
38:06 my favorite ❤
what I find odd, is that on my version of the game, RedRock was the default for the Main Menu
The game actually allowed you to change what songs played in any part of it. You could set music for every stage, the main menu, and I think even the credits.
I once set every single one of them to Olympos.
I hope someday the old DICE will return and bring us a remake/remaster/Motorhead 2. But I supose they will be killed by EA in coming years.
