The algorithm really got it with this recommendation I had what I believe was a drug induced psychosis a number of years ago, and everything you described sounds extremely relatable. The obsession with numbers, patterns that aren't there, thinking that you're basically Jesus V.2, thoughts and ideas that don't make any fucking sense but the more you think about them in that state the more you buy into your own delusions, etc. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Reed, thanks for sharing some of what you experienced in Drug Induced Psychosis. Sounds like it was a pretty scary experience, so glad that you are still here today to educate others.
Thanks so much for making this man, it's really interesting to hear your insights. And really glad you made it through! It's kinda scary how there's just a "switch" moment from relative sanity to delusion. The closest I can come to directly understanding this as someone who's not experienced psychosis is in the half awake/half asleep state, particularly if I've got a migraine or have a fever. I'll sometimes find myself thinking incessantly about a completely nonsensical topic but it seems really, really important to keep thinking about it and "figure it out" at the time (even when, objectively, there's nothing to figure out).

I have only hallucinated during alcohol withdrawal. It was a paranoia-fueled horrendous experience.
Alcohol is one of the worst and one of the few type of withdrawals you can die from. Glad you were able to get through it.
@@catvlyst I had a relapse that landed me in detox two months ago. I've been sober ever since. I am done with that shit, brother.
how long did it last?
