    Am I right in my assessment that the prizm torch, jade, and saphire all used to feature a rose base, and they now feature a garnet base? Just curious as I’m looking to replace an old airbrake with the prizm jade lens, and I’d like to replace it with a middle of the road everyday lens with a rose base.

    Love your guy's videos, always so helpful and informative and funny and charming! I did find myself wishing for an on-mountain clip of video showing one of yoy wearing the new rose gold iridium though. The colour of the mirror always comes thru truest on the snow IMO. If you'd be willing to tack it into a future video that would be so very appreciated! Nonetheless, love you guys and your work!

      Unfortunately, last season, when we went to Mammoth's On-Snow Demo (where we get to sample the next season's new releases), Oakley wasn't able to provide a sample of the Rose Gold. They were still struggling with supply issues. You are absolutely right that on mountain examples gives the best representation of what you get. Yet more unfortunately, we have not had a chance to get on the mountain this season. I'm hoping to get up there soon, though, and we will definitely get some content on that lens!

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад +1

      Hi Elguja! Wouldn't say one is 'better' over the other. It really comes down to what features you prefer. The main being the lens. Flight Decks spherical shaped lens reduces optical distortion, though the peripheral range you get with the Line Miner is second to none. The LM might also fit slightly larger than the FD. You'll also want to consider the lens that comes with each model and which would fare better for the conditions in which you ride. Hope this helps! 🏂

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад +1

      Hello! There's no difference as it relates to goggles. The 'snow' term simply refers to the Prizm Jade lens option for Oakley's snow goggle line, which uses a rose base tint to heighten contrast in snow conditions. Not to be confused with the Prizm Jade lens for their sunglass line, which uses a grey base tint. Hope this clears up any confusion!

      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад

      HI there! It largely depends on the type and size of the goggle you're using. OTG (Over The Glasses) goggles are specifically designed to accommodate glasses worn beneath the goggle. However, the opticians at SportRx highly recommend prescription inserts over this option. Rx inserts provide a much broader range of view, increased comfort due to the lack of temples pressed to the side of your head or nosepads against your bridge, and convenience regarding taking them on and off or swapping out different goggle lenses. Check them out in the link below!

      Thanks for watching, Ryan! You may benefit from a secondary lens for low-light and heavy overcast conditions if you find it difficult to map out the line in front of you. Check out the Prizm Snow Persimmon with a 39% VLT compared to the Sages 13%. @tylerandersen9410 Год назад +1

      Not sure if we answered it yet, but that's a tough question to answer! If it were me, I'd probably say go for it. I can also say that you will not wear out the mechanism. It's very simple and the material used in the goggle is plenty durable enough to stand up to regular interchange. It's not the most fun lens to interchange, but other than that - no worries!

      Hi David! Oakley hasn't made any updates or changes to the Hi-Pink Iridium lens in recent years. However, there have been a few cases where it has been mistaken for the new Prizm Clear, which portrays a similar pinkish hue but is ultimately lighter in overall tone and tint intensity.

      Hey Dmitriy. Scratches can be an irritating nuisance and have a negative effect on your vision especially when they occur on a part of the lens that falls within your line of sight. Some people are able to ignore or look past small abrasions, but for most it can create an uncomfortable viewing experience. There's unfortunately no way to buff out or remove scratches once they occur but more times than not additional replacement lenses can be purchased for most Oakley goggle models.
