Beautiful scenery on that one area. For your stock pole, you could possibly put a clove hitch as low into the water as you can and then have the boat gently pull ahead and it will suck it up out of the mud if it don’t break. But you have to push the clove hitch as deep into the water as you can to help pull it up. Thanks for the videos you doing a great job.

Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Just a bit of information pertaining to your fuel tank, especially in the cold weather. Always keep it full, otherwise you will accumulate condensation inside the tank. The water in the tank will then promote the growth of "Diesel Bug", something that you don't want to deal with.
Continue to have a safe journey.

At our cottage in Michigan, USA, we put out piers using 10+long steel poles that have corkscrews attached to the bottom. There are 1/2 inch holes every 3 feet starting at 6 feet from the bottom end. Basically you insert a 1/2 inch thick steel bar through the holes closest to the bottom and above the Ground/water. Using the bar turn the pole clockwise as far as needed. This pole can be used for mooring or for keeping your boat from grounding. Two of these poles are better than just one.

I think if you had put some tape around it to protect the surface and used a pipe wrench to turn it like a pipe being removed, it would have loosened up.

Good afternoon both of you, welcome back to the K&A. As far as I am aware, Aquillis the fuel boat is no longer operating. I believe Bradford Wharf are putting on a replacement, but Im not sure if its operating yet. As far as i remember there is diesel available at honey street so if you need it, get it there. Cheers, Peter. x

Freddy the fuel boat is operating on the long pound, Aquillion has stopped but Bradford Wharf are running a community boat service with coal, wood and gas (pre order the gas) for below the long pound but no fuel so Hilperton Boatyard is the place to fill up or Foxhangers Marina

@@chrisknight3847 Thanks for clearing that up Chris. I am usually a liveaboard on a permanent mooring about 20 minutes cruise from The Boatyard in Hilperton. I almost always go there for my needs. The odd time I go to ABC just further down too. My boat was blacked at ABC last year I think, and I am always taking a friend of mine there so he can use their elsan point, which The Boatyard don't have. Ta, Peter.

Good luck you two we love watching from South Africa where of course the weather is much hotter. We do have fire warnings though and some floods depending where you are . Soo many locks you have to be young to go for it . Our boating days are over but we still enjoy them through you !

Your home is what you make it xx trust the Captain xx You are doing good job!!! But you still have no idea of off the grid boat life yet... xx I am willing to train you xx :)
