I love the look of that rose. Yours is so beautiful, it tempts me every year. I keep adding and removing it from my wishlist. But I think I need it, and Buttercup.
I have wanted Buttercup for awhile. Let me know when you see it come in stock and I will grab one!
1:54 - Metarhizium is a good way for biological control of sawfly larvae. It's not dangerous for bees (in fact it is used to kill parasitic varroa mites on bees).
I would like to learn more about this. How do you use it?
@@TheRoseGeek well, actually it's just spore powder which you dilute in water with some horticultural soap and spray 3-4 times a season. It is suitable for soil larvae too, like maybug or flower chafers. Last year tried all sorts of biologicals I could get locally. I got list of approved biologicals from local agricultural agency. To be honest it was the best way to start because I wasted a lot of time with useless unapproved stuff from local garden centers.
I remember two years ago you you went on a Emma Hamilton binge.
How are those critters doing?
HAHA- YES! They all survived but they are so small still. They measure about 18" in height. They have bloomed this season but aren't stars in the garden.
@@TheRoseGeek Emma H while has beautiful blooms and fragrant, takes so long to grow. Mine is still small after a few years and the 2nd one didn't make it... I still love it bcz of the scent.
Does anyone know where to find David Austin’s Fisherman’s Friend rose? I can’t find it anywhere!
I got mine from Cattail Creek Gardens but they seem to be closed now. I was just thinking I don't think I've seen it available anywhere else.
@@Sindri27 I had one there as well but moved and didn’t take that one with me. Ugh!
I would try High Country Roses and Chateau de la Rose.
Looking through their websites and no luck. I just can’t seem to find this in circulation anymore. Such a shame as it’s my favorite Austin.
