3:39 It's funny how you did not twist all the sirui twist locks at the same time with one hand when deploying, you did it one by one and made it look like a struggle to deploy. Twisting it many times instead of half turn only made it look like a deal breaker. You didn't mention sirui is waterproof. Did not even emphasize how lacking PD's ball head is., Don't be biased next time. PD's tripod is amazing people would still buy it. you don't have to make other (amazing) tripods look so complicated when they are not
They didn't do a better job on the PD either. Just open all clip locks and then let the legs slide out. There are videos out that show how it's done. However I really don't see the point in setting up a tripod as fast as possible. Are you in a hurry? Photography on a tripod needs some time. Whether you're some seconds faster doesn't matter at all! 😜
@@MusikPiratCH ikr? like you pay a premium price just to save fewer seconds in setting up. also, I think clip locks can't do any better in waterproofing.
Far too long an intro, it wasn't until the 2 minute mark that you actually talk about the tripods. You do realize that when unlocking and packing the tripod back up if you turn it upside down, the tubes just slide in allowing you to lock quicker.
You can totally use a fluid head but you basically have to screw the fluid head into the quick release plate on the peak design if you want the leveling feature. PD sells a “fluid head adapter” but then you loose out on the leveling.
I am not a big fan of the screw locking system on tripods. They probably are a tighter clapping system compared to the Peak design style yeah but I hate screwing them all it’s just a pain in the ass. I went to a camera shop near Cleveland Ohio and they had the peak design tripod and I was really impressed on how sturdy it was. For how small is this I did not expect it to be so solid. But I can’t get past the $600 price tag. I’m looking at the Vanguard Alta pro that pivots out 90 degrees. Nice video
Thanks for the info man! Yeah I love the design of the PD tripod but it sure is a hefty price tag. Best of luck with whatever you're shooting these days!
Sirui is killing Peak Design because they actually offer a lightweight compact Tripod in the AM-223 which Peak Design has nothing to compete against. The Peak Design Tripods are built too heavy for too much weight
@@armygreenfj3924 but carbon fiber is still better. Sirui offers better ball head, built in spikes, waterproof system, lesser vibration and is way cheaper compared to PD
man just buy the peak design. bad design tripod will drive you crazy. you might think that you're saving some money, but your mental health is affected for sure
Yes I enjoyed the video and the speed test was fun. However that speed test and the leg dropping off could have been the deal breaker for some people researching the Sirui. It is not a trait of photographers with tripods to be racing or accidentally(?) unscrewing their legs. It made the Sirui look really bad whilst forgetting to mention real things like those joints are waterproof or even the dual 1/4" and 3/8" threaded accessory mounts on the leg spider for mounting accessories (mics, monitors etc... ) which PD doesn't have.
@@PhillipCitizenJohnson yeah, this review is so biased. The half twist to lock and unlock in Sirui is a great feature for fast setup. They twisted too much 🤷 Not to mention the ball head which is way better in Sirui

You could actually unlock all 3 twist locks and twist at the same time.
You forgot to mention that the sirui is water proof but the peak design is not.
good call, sorry I missed that one
Hi i think the most important thing about a tripod is its sturdiness and stability !! which one is the best?
Far too long an intro, it wasn't until the 2 minute mark that you actually talk about the tripods. You do realize that when unlocking and packing the tripod back up if you turn it upside down, the tubes just slide in allowing you to lock quicker.
Wait! One of the legs of the Sirui is supposed to unscrew off to screw on the centre pole to convert it to a monopod?
You guys are hilarious. Loved the speed tests! 🤣
Wait so you can't put a fluid head on the peak design tripod at all? Even with buying the extra adapter?
I just ordered the tripod and a fluid head..
You can totally use a fluid head but you basically have to screw the fluid head into the quick release plate on the peak design if you want the leveling feature. PD sells a “fluid head adapter” but then you loose out on the leveling.
Thanks for this video. I'm definitely going with the Peak Design.
hi! What is the ball head used on the sirui? Thanks
This was so much damn fun to watch! Looking forward to more. Thanks for the upload!

Aw dang…next time bring camp kinotika to Naples! We got pizza and we’re not afraid to use it.
Maybe round 2 of camp can be there hahah
Hey Zach, can we completely remove all 3 legs (like the one that fell out) and make it small table top tripod for vlogging and stuff ?

the speed test was 100% the funniest thing i've ever seen in a tripod video
I can tell you haven't use a twist lock tripod before. This was a very bad comparison.
It ends when the ball head is level and locked! #CampKinotika
2 Hebrews 3:9
How opens a tripod that quickly, what a redundant test. Peak design is over priced for what it is.
If you aren’t coming to Camera Camp what are you doing?
this man KNOWS things
Nice Mic on top 😉✌
yeet brother
It makes me nervous they are racing to setup and break down a tripod
but its fun
I think the best option is the Peak Design Aluminium 🤟🏻
you smart
The peak design aluminum weighs the same as the sirui st-124 with the ball head and the same price.
@@armygreenfj3924 but carbon fiber is still better. Sirui offers better ball head, built in spikes, waterproof system, lesser vibration and is way cheaper compared to PD
cool merch though
hey thanks!
Carbon fiber is so expensive
yeah for real! other people have pointed out the Peak Design aluminum travel tripod as a solid option as well
The Sirui Traveler 7C is carbon fiber as well but 1/4 of the prize of the PD (Carbon). 😜
My cat says hello
hi kitty love you kitty
What a baised vid think you are hoping for a free peak design Tripod. SIRUI HAS OTHER MODELS NEARER THE PEAK PRICE. hummm there is the answer.

Wtf speed test for tripod, this review is a joke 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾
