Some context: The first scene Mon is at a concert for those 2 guys (Billy and Seng) they are actually actors that play a queer love couple in a BL Series that many of the actors in this series are also in. When Mon is at their concert, she is fantasizing that it is Sam performing instead. Sam's teacher is Mon's mom. That's how they ran into each other at the school. The reason the series/book is called GAP is because Sam and Mon have quite a number of gaps they have to bridge in order to be together. Such as age, class, being the same gender (as this is still a bit of an issue in Thailand), etc (I won't say anything else as I don't want to spoil it). Additionally, the dog will be addressed later, don't worry. Looking forward to seeing more of your reactions.
Definitely slow burn! but worth it! The dog (Sua) was khun Sam's but she couldnt keep at her grandmother's (where sam lives) so the dog 13 years later is Sua's son Singha. Background: this GL (girl love) series follows another Idol Factory BL (boy love) series SECRET CRUSH ON YOU. The event the girls went to was a fan event for that series in which Mon imagined it was a fan event for Khun Sam (Lady Sam). Thai fan events usually involve the actors singing. Those “boys“ were the stars of that show. FreenBecky is the girls’ couple names and they had a supporting role in SCOY and their chemistry in that won them the roles in this series.
It's basically called GAP: there's an age gap between them, social status gap as Sam is a Royalty (great, great, grand daughter of the King) and Mon is a commoner, financial status gap of course.
Now that we've seen the entire series, I'd like to add that courage is another Gap. One that Mon possesses and Sam doesn't in the beginning. Overtime, Sam learns it and it's get another divide that their love conquers
Now that we've seen it multiple times we are obsessed and have a lot of discussion episodes coming out where we break down all the episodes from start to finish
it's a soapy slow burn and the dog now is the baby of the one sam owns 😹 (that dog was also becky "mon's" actual dog) . it's also based on a novel It might not be your usual wlw series but it did so well for asian wlw representation. this won 3-4 series of the year awards competing against bl series (thailand is a home of boy love romance alongside japan, so yes they're paving the way for more recognition in gl) so what made it more remarkable is no one sponsored it after the pilot trailer came out, but the ceo himself offered his own life savings including his mom's to push this... now a year later and they're still on tour, promoting their upcoming gl period drama and a sci-fi romance to be premiered in film festivals now supported by thai tourism 👀 so yes more upcoming gay stuff from them 😹💜 their period drama teaser photos gives off ✨fingersmith, emisue and tPoLoF✨ making me weak in da knees with every pic bruh 👁️👄👁️😔
Honestly, this show does it better than a lot of pieces of queer media and couldn't agree more about how important the representation and real life impact of this show is. We talk all about it in our discussion episodes that will publish soon where we break down all the episodes from start to finish. Super excited about their movie and next series coming out. It's going to be amazing!
Mon is currently 21-22-ish, but Sam is definitely 29. So they met when Mon was about 9 and Sam was 17-ish. It's about an 8 year gap. And Sam is not a singer. That was totally Mon's imagination. 😆 She's so extra like that!

Mon is 22 and khun sam is 29 but 30 after 5th episode so the age gap is 7-8 years
